Advantages: Just as good as the first film, but more polished. Disadvantages: Just how did they get the money to live in the abandoned toy factory?
...The film opens at Wayne's home, we have a bit of a talk from him, the Mirth Mobile transports them the Stan Nikita's Donuts whilst being accompanied by music from the stereo. But even this short ten minutes is so much more than that. We start with a homage to Batman, with the guys opening up a secret door and sliding down a firepole just like in the camp 60s TV show. In a moment for true connoisseurs, the bust that they use to open the door with ... ...It fair brought a tear to my eye that did. A minute later, Wayne refers to himself feeling as though he's in a "John Hughes route de passage movie", which is exactly what this film turns out to be.
Most of my favourite characters from the first movie turn up here in the sequel, but notable by their absence are Office Koharski (Frederick Coffin) and Partied-Out Phil (Sean Gregory Sullivan). Obviously, they were under the impression that the sequel ...

Advantages: very, very funny, Mike Myers is a genius Disadvantages: a bit short, more of the same maybe?
You’ll laugh again!! You’ll cry again!! You’ll hurl again!!
And so says the trailer for the movie.
Yes, it’s time for me to get back to normality and do what I do best on Ciao! (who shouted “what’s that then?”). That is to write a film review. And what better film to resume “normality” with than one of the funniest films of the 1990’s, (1993 to be exact) the daft, the stupid, the rather ... ...Paramount Comedy channel a few nights ago.

...few years after the first Wayne's World film, the sequel is as good, if not better than its predecessor. With Wayne, Garth and Cassandra all back, this is a classic and a must-own video or dvd for any comedy fan. The film centres centres around Wayne and Garth, stars of their own bargin-basement tv show. Wayne begins to get suspicious when his girlfriend, Cassandra, is spending an awful lot of time with her producer, played by the excellent as ever ... ...humour as the first film, Wayne's World 2 promises every viewer a laugh a minute. This is the sequel to the excellent Waynes world and once again stars Mike (Austin Powers) Myers in the lead role of Wayne, supported by Dana Carvey as Garth. Although a very watchable and amusing film, having watched the trailer I must admit that I was expecting more. There are plenty of gags sending up other films - notice the batman pole at the start, but the film did drag in places, and never really came up to the standard of the first film. ...

DVD Description
Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) and Garth Algar (Dana Carvey) return in this sequel to the 1992 pop-culture time capsule WAYNE'S WORLD. The boys still have their Aurora, Illinois, cable access show, Wayne is still dating Cassandra (Tia Carrere) and Garth has even found love in the form of Honey Hornee (Kim Basinger). After sleazy record producer Bobby Cahn (Christopher Walken) attempts to lure the foxy Cassandra away from Wayne, a stress-induced dream transports Wayne to a meeting in the desert with late Doors vocalist Jim Morrison, where the deceased rock hero convinces Wayne to organize a huge outdoor rock festival in Aurora called "Waynestock." Never one to ignore the commands of a dead rock god, Wayne enlists Garth to help him plan the concert. Continuing with the same goofy slang and surprising guest appearances that made its predecessor such a mammoth success, director Stephen Surjik picks up the baton and delivers a sequel that is bound to please those who found WAYNE'S WORLD so endearingly hilarious.
