DVD Description
This movie should be outlawed, for it contains the secrets every budding flim-flam artist would love to get their hands on. Wayne Dobson, former magician and all-around prankster, has abandoned his oath of secrecy and passes along some of his greatest tricks for the casual party-goer who wants to be the life of the party, watch some jaws drop and possibly make a little money in the process. GREATEST PARTY TRICKS, which is subtitled "Scams, Cons, Tricks and Betchas", uses everyday party items (like cigarettes, eyeglasses, etc.) to mystify, baffle and delight the casual observer.
...proves the old adage "Less is more" – less structure, more comedy. Great. I guess there's only one thing left to say:
"It's Wayne's World! Wayne's World! Party time! Excellent!" *cue weird guitar noises*...

Advantages: Good film, made the way spoofs should be made Disadvantages: None
...Wayne's World is a comedy starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey and is inspired by the "Wayne's World" skits that Myers and Carvey used to do on "Saturday Night Live".

It catches the eye of Ben Kane (Rob Lowe), a slimy TV executive who offers Wayne and Garth a deal to be on his TV network in Chicago and to be sponsored by Noah Vanderhoff (Brian Doyle-Murray). Meanwhile, Wayne falls in love with Cassandra, a female singer with a rock n' roll band. Unbeknownst to him...

...My flatmate had bought "Wayne's World", an old favourite of mine, on dvd a while ago and it has been sitting in the living room for a few weeks now, still in its wrapper, tempting me mercilessly. Finally, on Saturday night, I could stand it no longer, and I rushed across the room and ripped it from its shiny cellophane (I asked first, of course!), desperately in need of the laugh I knew Mike Myers and co could provide for me. And it didn't disappoint.

A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF "WAYNES WORLD"
Wayne Campbell seems to have a charmed life. Okay, as he puts it himself, he has "an extensive collection of nametags and hairnets" - but he also has his own show on public access television, ably assisted by his bashful sidekick Garth. Everyone in their home town of Aurora...
