Advantages: Great directing by Spielberg which set him up for years to come Disadvantages: Everyone knows the plot so its maybe lost a tad of its intend suspense
...There surely can't be much tension in this old TV warhorse; we've all seen it, and we all know what happens. Robert Shaw chewing the scenery with as much enthusiasm as the plastic shark does the extras, Murray Hamilton sweating as the evil mayor, and Richard Dreyfuss stealing the show with one-liners and some face-pulling. But no. Jaws has been shrunk to fit those TV confines, and on DVD it comes roaring back to life. John Williams' driving, teeth-rattling score starts to thunder, and in clear widescreen, you see how young Spielberg uses the corners of the frame to great effect. More than anything, it's the consummate suspense that gets you, the camera prowling beneath the thrashing swimmer's feet, the evil fin cutting through the waters like a blade, and the final nightmarish conflict with a shark that is a lot more convincing when...

Advantages: A great concert with surprisingly good special features. Disadvantages: A few finicky menu screens
...If you think U2's just about 'Vertigo' and 'Beautiful Day', buy this. Visually and sonically, this DVD is stunning. A totally stripped-down Sunday Bloody Sunday solo by The Edge is just one example of the reinvention that the warhorses of the U2 setlist have undergone. 'One' is one of the best performances of that song ever, and the combination of Please followed by Streets...

Advantages: Orlando, Heath..... Disadvantages: bad accents!

And so to the film. It starts out 3 years before the major part of the movie, when Ned, played by Heath Ledger, is wrongly imprisoned for stealing a horse. It then goes to him being released, and met by his friends for a homecoming.
Ned decides to be the model citizen, and not give the Victoria Police any more excuses to pick on him and his family, but of course, there's bound to be trouble.
Ned's sister has caught the eye of one of the policemen, but of course, she knocks him back, and he's not very happy about it at all. So displeased he is...
