...i know strictly speaking this review is only for volume 2 but as i did not buy the boxset and got the world at war in 5 seperate parts. I have combined my review.

This is the definitive collection of documentaries from WWII. Coming to us more than 30 years after it was initially broadcast. It is narrated by academy award winner, Sir Lawrence Olivier.
I bought all 5 volumes from retrowarez-promotions on ebay. Priced at £6.79 each with £2 postage.
Volume1 runs for 417 minutes, and features archival footage from 1933-1942 doocumenting the rise of the Nazis in Germany. And the start of the war. It also includes the making of. And more.
Volume 2 features archival footage fro 1939 –1944 and documents the Russian victories and the bombing raids in England. It runs for 432 minutes. And more.

Advantages: All the best editions of the five TARANTINO films! Disadvantages: Box has Tarantino's face on the front, not a pretty picture, but who cares!
...As Quentin Tarantino is one of my favourite directors, i ofcourse tried to find the best collection of his films which was available, and i did. I bought this collection recently and i was not at all let down, this collection includes all the best editions of the films, Reservoir Dogs, jackie brown and Pulp Fiction are all 2-discs, and Kill Bill volumes1 and 2 are both single disc. I am not sure why the details of this boxset say that it is 5 disc, as the set i have is 8 disc. This collection may be different to the one i have so it is worth checking it out! The better films, in my opinion, in this collection are Reservoir Dogs, Pulp fiction, and Kill Bill volume1, or at least this is what i thought before watching the other two films again. Kill Bill volume 2 is highly under rated, sure it doesnt live up to volume1...

As you might expect there are lots of battles, in fact lots and lots and lots of battles, taking place on various planets but all part of the same galaxy-wide conflict of the Clone Wars. It's very, very light entertainment, lots of action and aesthetic wonderment but not much plot, and better than average dialogue for this sort of thing. While of itself I only marginally recommend Volume1 of Clone Wars, it does set things up nicely for the superior Volume 2. To complement the animation, the voice acting is well up to standard with all the characters sounding respectably enough like their film counterparts. (From quickly scanning the voice acting crew I can only see one - Anthony Daniels [C3PO] - from the film's doing voice acting here.) The voice of Anakin does occasionally sound a little...
