...Goodliffe is the doctor. Towards the end of the film, (without revealing too much) the countryside around the Alps provides some really good aerial photography. The musical score was by Jerry Goldsmith, his credits are like an encyclopaedia, Star Trek Next Generation, Basic Instinct and Omen IV even since 2000 he has still scored for about a dozen films. This is the first film that I ever watched in which the main character was killed. (I first saw it as a child.) The final scene has Sinatra gunned down as he is stretching out his hand to be pulled up into the back of the train. You are watching willing him on, hoping that the outstretched hands of his comrades will meet his. They don't and they are left watching as the train continues on with him receding further and further into the distance lying ...
...of Allied POWs led by Sinatra trying to escape to freedom. They nearly get caught out several times. One time that particularly sticks in my mind is where Sinatra's pilot watch becomes the attention of a German who attempts to barter with him for it. Of course, Sinatra's character speaks no German and he is getting ever more tense as the scene goes on. He is eventually rescued by one of his colleagues who does speak German. I saw this with my 3 brothers when it was released. It was the first time i've ever sat all the way through and not uttered a sound until the film was finished. That's saying something. the film was incredible in the cinema. Next watching was on DVD. the whole film all the way through with no breaks. again, the film was awesome. The men that don't spot the Panzerfaust leaning against the wall when their trying to stop the 25mm gun from flanking them. Advantages: A true story and a very interesting one
Disadvantages: I am British and we are pretty much the bad guys

...best tactics for fighting the Zulu and watch the Zulu king and tribe counter these tactics and use a fair bit more cunning than has been expected of them. A one armed hero leads the British army into battle, with many of them rightly fearing for their lives unlike their officers who feel it was a matter of when not if they would win the battle.
