Review of Hamburger Hill (DVD)

Fantastic move, Blu-ray is the icing on the cake

Advantages: blu-ray, awesome action, compelling story
Disadvantages: a pretty old film

This is a fantastic movie, period. It combines war stories of true american heroes with some of the best action sequences to make a truly magnificent film. It was written through reading the Memos of one of the main characters, so this is one of the more accurate war movies of our time. The Blu-ray aspect truly does add the edge to this already brilliant movie, and although blu-ray players are expensive...after watching a movie like this on a blu-ray ...

Das Boot (The Boat not (The Boot).

Advantages: Dvd's last forever
Disadvantages: 4 hrs is a long time

What an excellent dvd i have seen this as a mini series, video and failed to find it a boring film/series. I have seen it with subtitles as this is how it first appeared on CH 4 i think back in 1985. Advantages: Truly thought provoking.
Disadvantages: An old film so bad quality though it has been improved upon
