...The Chronological Duck is part of the WaltDisneyTreasures series. Thus far in the UK there has only been four releases compared to the US but I understand that more are planned. These are limited edition tin sets of some of their more treasures releases and aimed probably more at the collection and Disney nut, but lets not forget that these are endlessly enjoyable short cartoons and collection, which do have cross age appeal.
Donald was created by Disney as they found because Mickey had become such a beloved figure, they were limited in what they were able to do with him. For instance Mickey could never be portrayed as being vindictive or cruel. A new stooge was required and in response Donald was born. Advantages: 6 short stories so keeps the children entertained without them becoming bored! Disadvantages: Cant spend time with my niece as all she wants to do is watch it!
...This DVD is fantastic! It kept my niece (and myself!) entertained for over an hour! It contains all the magic of disney and its unique story telling layout will mesmerise the children long enough for you to have some 'me' time! It is one of those DVD's that they can watch time after time and not get bored as it contains six short animated childrens stories which will keep the children entertained!, It was well worth the investment! The DVD contains all those favourite stories such as the ugly duckling and The old mill and i would say it is well worth the purchase especially if you have children between the ages of four and ten! In fact the only draw back is i cant spend time with my niece anymore as all she wants to do is watch this DVD!...

Advantages: Great retelling of a classic story Disadvantages: Might be a bit scary in places for the very little ones
...Treasure Planet, pretty much Treasure Island with a futuristic twist, Jim Hawkins off hunting for treasure. A tale of a young man going from a humble background into a much wider world (or Universe in this case) than he is used to and how he survives on his travels. Visually for sets and location backgrounds it looks excellent and is generally a wonderful adaptation of Robert Louis Stephenson's Treasure Island. I've seen a lot of different versions including The Muppet one but this is by far the best of them all. The animation and characters are excellent, the voice cast aren't all that bad but they aren't easily recognisable voices as I...
