The story
The movie is about a little robot called 'Wall-e'. Wall-e is the only robot left on the planet cleaning up the mess that mankind has left behind. The people have left hundreds of years ago and are now living in luxuriously spaceships. They left with the idea to return after the robots had cleaned up everything on earth, but most of them have giving up on the idea. Back on earth Wall-e is still cleaning the mess, but Wall-e is different for all the other robots, he's feels and is alive! Next to the cleaning, he's collecting beautiful stuff and is for example crazy on this old movie he got on his little television. While he's cleaning suddenly a spaceships arrives from the skies and landed next to him. From that spaceship a female robot, called EVE, arrives on earth with the mission to find live. From the first moment Wall-e sees her, he falls in love with her and he got himself the most difficult mission in life to make EVE able to fall in love with him. Unfortunately it doesn't help much when EVE succeeds in her mission and is being picked up again by the spaceship to return home. Because Wall-E doesn't give up that easily and goes after her!
Characters (voices):
Wall-E, is a small cleaning robot left on earth. Voice is done by Ben Burtt, for me unknown actor. But you don't really hear him in the movie anyway, because Wall-E hardly speaks. Wall-E is living on earth with the assignment to clean up earth. He's the only robot still working, but the big difference with all the other robots is he feels. He got a little friend on earth and collects beautiful things. He also got his own house on earth.
EVE, stands for 'Extraterrestrial Vegetative Evaluator ' and the voice is done by Elissa Knight. Also this actor is unknown to me, but she did do one of the voices in the movie Cars. EVE is a much more advanced robot then Wall-E and has the goal to find life on earth.
Captain, is one of the few characters that actually speaks in this movie, and his voice is done by Jeff Garlin. As captain on a spaceship he will run into EVE as she has found life on earth and will quickly be impressed by Wall-E.
Extras
There are a few nice extras on the DVD:
Burn-E, a new short movie. This is a short movie about one of the maintenance robots on the spaceship in the actual movie. The robot gets locked out of the spaceship. Nice little movie to watch but not as funny as the actual movie.
Presto, short movie. This short movie is about a rabbit and the magician. Also nice, but has nothing to do with the movie itself.
- Non used scenes - Audiocommentary of Andrew Stanton - Animation sound design: Worlds build with sounds
My opinion:
I found it difficult to write about a movie without ruin the whole story, but wall-e is really a great movie to watch. I was first very skeptical about this movie, because how can a non talking robot be funny? But I was wrong. For me Wall-e is in the same category as Finding Nemo. You will laugh about the stupid movements and reactions and the sounds they make. Especially the reaction of wall-e when he rides over his little friend is the best! This movie is great to watch if you want to have a good laugh.

I'm sorry for the H, but for this to be a full DVD review, I would prefer to see a review of the extras in the same detail as your review of the film, not just a brief mention of them.
