Wall-E is a story about a little refuse collecting robot who has been left to clean up the mess we humans have left behind after we fled the earth. Wall-E is all alone on earth except for a pet cockroach. It's when EVE comes to earth that story picks up. EVE is a sleek (and dangerous) reconnaissance robot, sent to earth to find proof that life is once again sustainable. WALL-E falls in love with Eve and so when she leaves on a massive ship he hitches along and learns more than he could ever imagine.

I'm gonna say straight off that I love this film, it seems that Pixar can do no wrong and with Wall-E they have created one the cutest, most loveable characters ever seen on screen. As Wall-E doesn't talk there are long periods with no dialogue but this is never boring and you're so thoroughly entertained you'll wonder where the time went. There's always something to look at as the environment is stunning and the level of detail is amazing, for split seconds it almost looks real, and that's a theme that runs through this film. This is unlike any animated film I've seen before, you feel so much for Wall-E and he can convey so much emotion even with just a slight dip of his 'eyes'. The dancing in space sequence especially brings it home to me how different this film is to traditional animation fare. It all seems so real, like you can almost believe you're watching something that didn't come out of a computer, and you can really feel the love between Wall-E and EVE, it really is a case of words not doing it justice.

I cannot recommend this film enough, if you haven't seen it yet, please please buy this film on DVD, you will not regret it.

Nice intro to the film - but what else is on the DVD? Some sites are selling this movie as a 2-disc edition with an "Activity Tin" ...?

You've posted this as a DVD review, but not mentioned the DVD features. Are there any extras, what are they and are they any good? You can change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question.
