Let your script writer watch First Blood, Jackass then some WWE and this is what happens. You get Walking Tall. A corrupt town, a corrupt Sheriff and a few people with some morals that just aren't going to stand for it any more.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson isn't much of an actor. He tries very hard but fails to act. He can fight, raise his eyebrow and smile real pretty for the camera but i've seen dogs act better than him. The fight scenes are pretty well done but I thought he'd appear to be a better fighter as a former Special Forces guy.
Is it ever actually mentioned WHICH Special Forces unit he serves in? Yes, you do see a pendant but it isn't very helpful. Johnny Knoxville, he's awful. Can someone please shoot him? Save us from his attempts to be funny, act or try to be a stuntman. Go away Mr Knoxville.
These 2 guys become the law in the town and then right away become law breakers themselves, Chris Vaughan smashing a cars lights and Knoxville and The Rock destroying a car. also when I watched this film it made me think they'd stolen lots of the script from Rambo - First Blood. Special Forces guy, bad sheriff, shoot outs. Just far too similar!
Watch this film and turn off your brain. I was pretty amazed there weren't more WWE wrestlers as stunt-men seeing as Vince McMahon was executive producer. I wished I hadn't bothered with this now.
