This is a great film for all those people who are into their music, and in particular, jazz and blues, and rock and roll. This film is based on a true event and is the story of Johnny Cash.....(as i am sure you have all heard of but if you haven't, he was a rock and roll singer and song writer back in the 1960's)

A bit about the Director and Producers: Well the director for this stunning film was James Mangold and the producers were James Keach and Kathy Conrad. I think a special thanks should go to them for creating such a unique film as the majority of people simply watch the films without paying any attention to these important people who made it all happen.

Reese Witherspoon - who played the role of June Carter. And i'm sure you all know who she is: she's probably most famous for playing the main role of the blonde in Legally Blonde 1 & 2. And i think her accent in the film was great - i wonder how she did it for an entire film? i know i couldn't....

Well, the story begins of how Johnny Cash was once a salesman, doing everything for his wife and kids to get the money he needed. But one day he just gave his job up and tried out for a record deal with his friends who played guitar and bass. Unfortunately the first time was a failure, but something struck Johnny hard and he began something new, fresh and original.

Before long, his records were being played everywhere. But it was a shame his wife hated his music career when it began. Especially when Johnny had tours around the country...

But then, still married, Johnny bumped into his childhood idol: June Carter who was just divorced but also had a child. Unfortunately this relationship ahd started, but finished just as quickly, leaving Johnny to turn to his last resort: Drugs......

His music career went pretty much down the drain, and his wife and family left him with nowhere to go but to drink and take drugs..... his life was a reck.....

I would tell you more of the story, but i suppose you ought to really watch the film.................

I can honestly say that i loved the film completely. It was so unique and all the music was just brilliant to listen to. It's just a blast from the past to just think what it was like 40+ years ago. But the storyline was outstanding, as was the acting by the fantastic duo. The soundtrack was superb and the rock and roll music was great - had a similair style to Elvis.

It is definitely a bargain, and make sure you watch all the extra features because they are great - even watch some of the deleted scenes - they give you a bit more insight of Johnny's views...
