WWE Wrestlemania 18-21 Digipack Boxset.

This boxset is superb and great value for money to. If you were to buy Wrestlemania 18-21 separately you would pay anything between 45 and 60 quid. The digipack costs 34.99 direct from www.silvervision.co.uk, who also offer free home delivery on all their items. The only downside to this is that there are no extras included on the discs, but still good value.

The first event in this pack is WWF Wrestlemania 18. This would prove to be the last Wrestlemnaia held under the WWF company name as the name was changed to WWE soon after. The Main Event for this one was WWF Undisputed Champion Chris Jericho defending against Triple H.Other matches included Stone Cold Steve Austin against Scott Hall, The Rock facing Hollywood Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker against Ric Flair and Kane facing Kurt Angle. The biggest crowd response of the night was received by Hollywood Hogan who was making his first Wrestlemania appearance in 9 years.

Wrestlemania 19 was headlined with 2 title matches. Firstly Triple h defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Booker T in a poor match. Then Kurt Angle defended the WWE Championship against Brock Lesnar in a more exciting bout. Also featured was Hulk Hogan facing Vince McMahon and The Rock battling Stone Cold Steve Austin. The match that stole the show was Shawn Michaels against Chris Jericho. Michaels was making his first Wrestlemania appearance since Wrestlemania 14. This event also featured the return of Rowdy Roddy Piper.

The 20th anniversary of Wrestlemania took place in the same venue as the original, New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Headlined by a Triple Threat Match between World Champion Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit for the title. Also on the card was WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero against Kurt Angle for the title, John Cena facing the Big Show, The return of The Undertaker to face Kane and Christian against Chris Jericho. The award for the worst match ever goes to 2 men who should have had the best match on the show. Goldberg and Brock Lesnar were booed out of the building during there match. This event was a bit of a let down. With this being the 20th anniversary special, I thought WWE might have had some former superstars on hand to celebrate the occaision. However this was not to be.

And lastly, Wrestlemania 21. A good event with many great matches. A Double Main Event featuring JBL vs John Cena for the WWE Title and Triple H vs Batista for the World Heavyweight Title. Other matches included a superb Money In The Bank Ladder Match, Shawn Michaels against Kurt Angle, Randy Orton vs The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio against Eddie Guerrero. The Worst match of the night was The Big Show against Akebono in a Sumo Match. Other Highlights include Piper’s Pit with Stone Cold Steve Austin as Hot Rod’s guest. Also includes a special appearance by Hulk Hogan.

The Wrestlemania 18-21 Digipack is well worth the money. I would highly recommend it to everyone. Especially if you want a piece of wrestling history.
