WWE Wrestlemania 12-17 Digipack Boxset.

This boxset is superb and great value for money to. If you were to buy Wrestlemania 12-17 separately you would pay anything between 45 and 60 quid. The digipack costs 34.99 direct from www.silvervision.co.uk, who also offer free home delivery on all their items. The only downside to this is that there are no extras included on the discs, but still good value.

Starting off with Wrestlemania 12. A good event which was the first Wrestlemania not to feature any celebrities. The main event put WWF Champion Bret Hitman Hart defending against Shawn Michaels in an incredible Iron Man match which lasted around 62 minutes. Other matches include WWF President Rowdy Roddy Piper vs Goldust in a Hollywood Back Lot Brawl, Diesel vs The Undertaker and a six man tag team match with Jake the Snake Roberts, Ahmed Johnson and Yokozuna against Owen Hart, The British Bulldog and Vader. This event was featured the return of The Ultimate Warrior as he faced Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin’s first Wrestlemania match against Savio Vega.

Wrestlemania 13 was an acceptable event, but only just. The Main Event was Sid against The Undertaker for the WWF Championship. Other matches include, Triple H against Goldust and Ahmed Johnson and The Legion Of Doom vs The Nation Of Domination. The Rock made his first Wrestlemania appearance, defending the Intercontinental Championship against The Sultan. The match that stole this whole show had to be Bret Hitman Hart against Stone Cold Steve Austin in a brutal and bloody I Quit match.

Wrestlemania 14 was a really good event. The Main Event was WWF Champion Shawn Michaels defending against Stone Cold Steve Austin with Iron Mike Tyson as the referee. Michaels fought this match with a seriously injured back and would not fight again for almost 5 years. Other matches include Intercontinental Champion The Rock vs Ken Shamrock for the title, European Champion Triple H vs Owen Hart for the title, Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws vs Cactus Jack and Terry Funk for the titles and the first match between The Undertaker and Kane.

Wrestlemania 15 was headlined by a WWF World Championship Match between WWF Champion The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin with Mankind as the referee. Other matches include, Kane against Triple H, Undertaker facing Big Boss Man in a Hell In A Cell Match, Mankind versus The Big Show and Tori against Sable for the WWF Womens Title. The biggest shocker in this event was when Shane McMahon was defending his WWF European Championship against X Pac. Triple H and Chyna stormed the ring and turned on X Pac and DX to join The Corporation.

On to the 16th installment of the event which was for some reason called Wrestlemania 2000. This one was also the only Wrestlemania event not to feature a one on one singles match. The Main Event was WWF World Champion Triple H defending his title in a Fatal Four Way Match against The Rock, Mick Foley and The Big Show. There was also a McMahon in each competitors corner. Stephanie was in HHH corner, Shane was in Big shows corner, Linda was in Foley’s corner and Vince was in The Rock’s corner. Other matches on the card included, Too Cool & Chyna against The Radicals, Kane & Rikishi facing X Pac and Road Dogg, A Battle Royal for the WWF Hardcore Title and Edge & Christian against The Dudley’s against The Hardy Boys in a triple threat tag team ladder match for the WWF Tag Team Championship.

Finally, the last event in the pack is WWF Wrestlemania 17. This event took place just 6 days after Vince McMahon bought WCW. The Main Event was WWF Champion The Rock defending against Stone Cold Steve Austin. Other matches include Vince McMahon vs Shane McMahon in a street fight, The Undertaker vs Triple H, Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit, Kane aginst Big Show and Raven in a triple threat match for the WWF Hardcore Title and a TLC Triple Threat Tag Team Match between the Dudleys, The Hardy Boys and Edge & Christian for the WWF Tag Team Titles.

The Wrestlemania 12-17 Digipack is well worth the money. I would highly recommend it to everyone. Especially if you want a piece of wrestling history.
