The Eddie Guerrero Story, (1967-2005) Cheating Death, Stealing Life, is the DVD that tells the life story, and pays tribute to one of WWE's (World Wrestling Entertainment's) most unique, charismatic, and finest superstars/athletes in sports entertainment. This classic documentary takes you through deep into Eddie's life. The Guerrero family grew up in Mexico, they were one of the most famous, stylish & talented families in the Wrestling business. Eddie's father, Gory, and his three brothers, Chavo senior, Hector, and Mando were also professional wrestlers, along with his nephew Chavo Jnr. Eddie Guerrero trained hard to become a professional superstar, he returned to his hometown, In El Paso Texas, after obtaining a scholarship from the University in Mexico. This was to be the beginning of Eddie's career.
He signed a contract with the AWA, and had some of the most remembered matches
against some of the best superstars including, Dean Malenko, and the late Chris Benoit. When he signed for WCW, he became an instant recognized name in wrestling, having even greater battles against high profile superstars such as, the high-flying Rey Mysterio.
Eddie got to a point in his life, where he thought he'd done it all, winning match after match, beating superstar after superstar, and winning championship title after championship title. He would earn enough cash to buy him the most biggest, stylish and most expensive of assets (fast cars, fast yachts, luxury pads). Then, after a while, he claimed that he needed something else for entertainment, a completely different kind of entertainment. He started taking drugs, and consuming lots of alcohol. This point in his life took a dramatic turn; he was on a downward spiral of self destruction. He had a car crash back at that time, which could have ended his life. Eddie, soon got help overcoming his addiction, he then signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. You can say, the WWE saved Eddie's life, he could have gone back to that addiction, and had a near death suicide.
On Eddie's first night in WWE, he was part of a four team, with superstars, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, and Chris Benoit, they were known as the Radicalz. During his time in the WWE, he won numerous championship titles. The two unforgettable partnerships he had were with, Rey Mysterio, and the other with, his nephew Chavo Guerrero Jnr, to capture tag team gold on many separate occasions. The thing I loved the most about Eddie and Chavo's partnership, they were called the Los Guerrero's, and they would lie, cheat, and steal to win matches. The best thing about these times were, Eddie's trademark drop to the floor, which was so hilarious and entertaining. The referee would have his back turned, trying to sort out some outside interference, Eddie would get a steel chair from outside the ring, get back in the ring and toss the chair to his opponent, he would time this brilliantly. Eddie, would deliberately fall to the canvas, making out he'd been hit with the chair. The referee would then turn round, see Eddie flat on his back, and his opponent holding the chair. He's opponent would get disqualified, and Eddie would be awarded the win. This was a crafty way of retaining any championship title, this was the cheating. The lying would be to get anyone on side, so he could get close to any title opportunities. The stealing, was rather good to watch, Eddie would take other superstars possessions, and then bribe them in order to get a shot at their title.
The best match I ever saw Eddie compete in, it has to be at No Way Out, against 'powerhouse' Brock Lesnar for the WWE title. After successfully beating Brock, and winning the title, he then went on to the biggest PPV event of the year Wrestlemania XX. He successfully defended the title against ' the Olympic gold medallist' Kurt Angle. No Way Out, and Wrestlemania that year was the highlight of Eddie's career. Eddie Guerreo was also known as Latino Heat, because of his glare twinkle eye for the ladies. One in particular he had good relationship with, female wrestler China, who they called the 'ninth world wonder of the world.' Eddie's death in 2005, came as a huge shock to every wrestling fan, and the wresting company itself. Before his death, they lined him up one more shot at the World Heavyweight title; it was supposed to be a triple threat match against the 'Legend Killer' Randy Orton, and the 'Animal' Batista. With all that been said, my experience of Eddie's life and this DVD, has certainly been an amazing and emotional one. This is surely the ultimate tribute to a great athlete, superstar and performer. Viva La Raza Eddie, rest in peace.

I'm sorry for the H, but for this to be a full DVD review, I would prefer to see a review of the extras in the same detail as your review of the film, not just a list of them.
