Intercontinental Championship Chris Jericho vs. Shelton Benjamin
Women's Championship Battle Royal Match Trish vs. Molly vs. Stacy vs. Victoria vs. Nidia vs. Gail Kim vs. Jazz
Chain Match Kane vs. Gene Snitsky
Eugene vs. Eric Bischoff
Lingerie Match Christy vs. Carmella
World Tag Team Championship La Résistance vs. Chris Beniot & Edge
World Heavyweight Championship Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels
Steel Cage Match Nature Boy Ric Flair vs. Legend Killer Randy Orton
The revolutionary PPV where the fans chose the champions opponents or stipulations. The choices for the fans to maker were who would face Triple H for the championship Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit or Edge, with the two who don't face Triple H facing La Resistance for the Tag title .Who would Chris Jericho defend the Intercontinental championship and anyone who wasn't involved in a match was eligible. The fans had to decide what the Divas would wear for the women battle royal, either a French maid outfit, a nurse's outfit or dressed as
school girls. The fans choice for stipulation for Ric Flair Vs Randy Orton was submission, falls count anywhere or Steel Cage match. The Gene Snitsky and Kane match was a weapon of choice match, with the fans choosing the weapon, the choices being a pipe, chain or steel chair. Christy and Carmella would either bee in a pillow fight, aerobics contest or a lingerie match. The fans got to decide if Eric Bischoff would be shaved bald, wear a dress or be a servant to Eugene.
The Coach played presenter for the night and was good at it, announcing the winner of each vote with his comic style.
The action started with the. Intercontinental Championship, Batista got 20% of the vote and Shelton Benjamin got 33% there for winning the vote and taking on Jericho. This was a match that fans had never seen before and it didn't disappoint. It was a solid opener, almost perfect, excellent spots and I loved seeing face vs. face which is rare. A good match.
Trish vs. Molly vs. Stacy vs. Victoria vs. Nidia vs. Gail Kim vs. Jazz in an over the top rope battle royal for the Women's Championship. It was not really a wrestling match more a look here are 7 women in school girl out fits. Through I'm sure many will enjoy the women in school girl outfits match it wasn't really my thing, it was a poor wrestling match.Next up a match to further worst storyline of the year (the baby killer thing) Kane vs. Snitsky. Snitsky wasn't quite as bad as I was expecting and Kane really put him over, even when some shots with the chain didn't look all that good from Snitsky, Kane really did do a good job. The ending was a let down. It was an average match.
Now it was time for Eugene vs. Eric Bischoff, it was a short match as would be expected form a non-wrestler. After the match the Coach announced the looser (it doesn't take much to guess who lost) was to be shaved bald, the loser protested and Vince McMahon had to come down and ensure the fans got their way. The ending was fun to watch, through it was not a good wrestling match for entertainment value it was good.
Edge and Chris Benoit were next forced to team up and face the tag champs La Resistance. Edge done the somewhat predictable heel act of walking out while Benoit battled two men. It was a good match as is more or less every Benoit match.
Then it was time for diva search contestants, Christy and Carmella. I really can't say much about this match except, why are these divas being used more than talented female wrestlers. I watched a few minutes then skipped to the next match; I thought it was incredibly pointless.
Up next was the World Heavyweight Championship match with Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels. HBK had a bad leg so Trips went after it more or less all the match, after some interfering the predictable happened. It was a good match.
For the main event it was the legend Ric Flair vs. legend killer Randy Orton in a steel cage. As Flair loves those red streaks in his hair the match got a bit bloody. I Was shocked at this match, in a good way, even through Orton was pushed too soon and Flair is a bit past it they put on one really good match. Flair did all his classic spots yet I still enjoyed watching them. Orton should real potential and really one me over. It was great to see them two shack hands at the end. This match was good and verging on excellent.
Overall WWE really hit on something when they decided to let the fans decide (even if they did try to manipulate it); it was a great concept that added a great deal of excitement to the show. The extras are a bit boring. They are:
Through the extras are hardly original the event it's self was fresh and ground breaking and I recommend any wrestling fans who is yet to see it to do so soon.
