Both events only have 5 vs 5 tag elimation matches, there are no single or title matches (although later Survivor Series shows featured a mix of all 3). The matches are what you expect from 80s WWF - lots of slow power moves from steroid enhanced talent & nobody kicks out of someone elses finisher (except Hulk Hogan). Notable wrestlers that feature ... ...that they're not uncut. Survivor Series 1988 in particular has been edited extensively down to 2 hours. WWE should be releasing a Survivor Series anthology in the future which should contain unedited matches and so if you're a collector you're better off opting for that release instead of this one. ... more

Notable wrestlers that feature are Andre the giant, Ravishing Rick Rude, Mr Perfect, Macho man Randy Savage and of course the immortal Hulk Hogan. If you're a wrestling fan from the 80s/90s you'll have a lot of fun with this release. If you're a fan from watching today's WWE, you might or might not. These shows are from the same mastertapes as released on VHS by Silvervision in the 1990s. Unfortunately this means that they're not uncut. Survivor Series 1988 in particular has been edited extensively down to 2 hours.
