This DVD is set to soar in popularity now that Rey Mysterio has proved all of his critics wrong, and become the new World Heavyweight Champion of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
If you're expecting to see under the mask of Rey, then you wont get what you expect. What you do get though is a classic compilation of matches from lots of Wrestling organisations such as ECW, WCW and some classic early action from Lucha Libre (from Mexico) as he was growing up.
The DVD features an hour or so of interviews and questions and insights from the man himself. There are snippets of matches and some complete matches along the way. What you'll especially enjoy is the tour around Rey's house - a real look at how a wrestler lives. Do they have 6 floors? Are they as rich as we think they are?? It's a great opportunity to learn about Rey's unique upbringing in a wrestling environment, and os his years of grafting to make it to the top of his profession.
My Favourite part of the DVD -------------------------------------- For me the most insightful comments from Rey came when he discussed the end of World Championship Wrestling, and his going into the WWE. Having devoted a large part of his life to Ted Turner's company, he seemed upset but also excited at the potential of his future years in wrestling.
My Least favourite part of the DVD ---------------------------------------------- I was wanting to see some of the footage of him in WCW when wrestling without the mask. It seems though that WWE or maybe Rey himself, is intent on keeping this part of his career well-hidden and under lock and key at the moment.

Both competitors deserve to be applauded for their efforts in this classic confrontation.
On a final note, I'd add that as a Wrestling fan you'd be impressed by the inclusion of rare footage from the AAA promotion (When Worlds Collide). You would also enjoy his WCW debut (against Dean Malenko - 16.6.1996) and his WWE debut (against Chavo Guerrero - 23.7.2002). As the back of the DVD cover says - this is just plain awesome!

Advantages: Great matches and good documentary. Disadvantages: Could have focused more on his earlier work.
...after he came to the WWE in 2002, It features matches from his WCW career as well as the new success Rey Rey found when he came to the WWE. The documentary is standard stuff now and what we've come to expect from Silver-visions releases. It documents Reys childhood and how he came to be involved in the wrestling business. It then moves on to his career in AAA mexican wrestling , then his transition to USA wrestling when he joined ECW. It was a short ... ...their toll. His move to WWE takes up a lot of this even though he hadn't been there that long at the time compared to his career now. But it is enjoyable and is packed with fun anecdotes from Rey about his life and the wrestling business. Id recommend it to any wrestling fan and is a must for fans of the 619 superstar. ...
