Stage director David McVicar guides them through their paces, while movement director Andrew George gives them sensible, sensual, and sometimes silly but funny choreography that goes so well with Handel’s alternately soothing and jaunty Baroque rhythms. The swashbuckling bits are coached by fight director Nicholas Hall, and soldierly encounters are represented by a regally choreographed, march-like dance with measured stomping of boots by Cesare’s and Tolomeo’s men and their leaders. All in a day’s work, but the singers might fall to their knees, crawl and roll, do back-flips, leap from the stage furniture, grapple intimately with one another, and might even be thrown to the floor with a thud, and accomplish other... Advantages: A good overall feeling of the isle of man tt
Disadvantages: doesn't mention the fantastic tt nightlife

...The isle of man TT races is the worlds greatest,fastest and most followed road racing in the world. It has been going since 1907 and is extremely popular with all sorts of people. Every year people from babies in prams to elderly and everthing in between turn out in there thousands to watch this nail biting action. Famous racers go round the 37 mile circuit at break neck speed on this gorgeous island. After the TT is over the island goes back to one of the most peaceful places in the world where people are so laid back its hard work to get out of bed!!! This dvd can only begin to give you a feel of the TT but its a great place to start!!! not only has this dvd got the famous TT races to watch it also has rider profiles, a classic motorbike parade lap in which the great Richard (Milky) Quayle took part in and a marshels guide to the TT... ...They say you either love it or hate it. Le Mans, that is. Well I was there in June 2005, watching this race. I was also there in June 2004, and June 2003, and...... OK, OK, so I'm a Le Mans nut. 2005 was my 20th consecutive visit to Le Mans - every year since 1986. And I run my own website for my photos too.... And I moderate a sportscar website.... So, I guess I have reasonable credentials for reviewing the DVD. The annual Le Mans highlights/review DVD was maded by Duke Marketing, a famous purveyor of motor racing (and other) videos and DVDs. They can be found at www.dukevideo.com. The DVD has an excellent running time of 135 minutes, not quite up to the 24 hours itself, but it covers the full event, from the technical scrutineering of the cars and driver (!) which takes place during the week before the race, through...
