Advantages: Vodka in my cooking Disadvantages: I might kill you with my cooking
to prepare. As are the 'Half-in-the-bag chicken wings' which are marinated chicken wings the marinade contains orange peel vodka, hot pepper sauce, worcesterhire sauce, lemon juice, garlic, mustard and red wine vinegar - sounds tasty doesnt it!
Food Flights
Not having heard of a flight before the book enlightened me, presented in shot glasses, these are soup like shooters. A flight being a word used by tasters to describe the small amounts they are testing.
I havent tried to make any of these, call me simple but my soups should come in bowls and other foods on plates while my shot glasses are for the serious business of getting me drunk quickly!
Although Curried Pumpkin and Vodka sounds interesting. And the Vodka Fruit Flight which can be made with almost any fresh or tinned fruits.
Salads and Soups
Salads in this book ...
Advantages: More interesting than original, better tasting Disadvantages: Erm, none really... unless you dont like lemon!
Anyone who knows me well would be very surprised to see me talking about Coca Cola, let alone drinking it? I?m not a huge fan and as a general rule it only appears when vodka is involved.
This time my curiosity got the better of me and I decided to throw caution to the wind and give this newfangled coke a try. I chose the diet version to test out...
Now widely available in supermarkets and corner shops, lemon coke has become a permanent fixture alongside the full fat and diet coke racks of drinks. Costing the same as original coke (around 35p/can, 75p/small bottle and £1.20ish/big bottle), there are only a few subtle differences to the label? the addition of a yellow lid to the bottles, the word ?lemon? below the Coca Cola trademark writing with a slice of lemon at the side. Pretty easy to recognise on the shelf then.
So, was I ...

Advantages: Trusted, reputable brand. Disadvantages: The cheaper versions, are pretty much the same when your mixing :)
Vodka isn't my favourite drink, I'm more of a wine person myself, but, when I do drink vodka I don't really see the difference between Smirnoff vodka and the cheap stuff from asda...
now maybe if you are a big vodka fan you could taste the difference. The only thing I find is that cheap vodka gets your alot drunker alot quicker...!!
Which is a good thing!! Haha.
The vodka tastes like vodka, smells like vodka, and looks like vodka...if your drinking it with orange juice or cola or something with a taste then why spend double the price when the taste is been masked by juice anyway???
Yes if your a straight vodka drinker, or drink it with tonic...I could see that this would be better and taste nicer.
But, I do recommend getting yourself a £7 bottle rather than £17 bottle of Smirnoff and just see if you taste a difference ...

Film of the Month (Dazed and Confused, )
Critic's Choice (Timeout, )
Hiner Saleem's tragi-comedy is an engaging mix of quiet optimism, gentle romance and surreal humour...There's delight to be had in the film's absurdist visual gags: Hamo being towed across the icescape in his bed, for example, or the unexplained horseman who's always galloping through scenes. (Total Film, )
Wonderfully atmospheric, starkly beautiful, a moving and imaginative potrait of a community (Uncut, )
