Having been a fan of Viz magazine for a few years, i got my hands on two Viz videos. One of which was sid the sexist. Preparing myself for something great i popped the video into my television and pressed play.
Viz is hilarious when it is a magazine but when it is animated it seems to lose every quality it had. The jokes are no longer funny. The voices are terrible. The animation is terrible. I couldn't finish the video. The main point i have to make is that this video isn't ok or alright. It is absolutely unwatchable. It actually frustrated me. I felt annoyed and irritated. I managed to watch a couple episodes before i could stand it no longer.
Animation
The animation is slow and boring. It is badly done and unprofesional. Like someone has had a few hours spare and knocked it together in their garage. The characters do however look like they do in the magazine which is little consolation for the overall quality.
Voices and Jokes
The voices are irritating. Like someone just won't shut up when you need some space. It's in your face and i couldn't stand it. The jokes arn't funny at all. I didn't laugh once. They might of been funny if they were still in magazine form but on video..... At least one of the episodes is taken from the magazines. It used to be one of my favourites but now, when i read it, all i can think of is the video.
Summary
I wouldn't buy this video. I honestly would have to be paid to watch it. It left me in a bad mood once i'd watched it. You don't want to pay for this terrible experience. If you are a Viz fanatic then you should buy it but never, under no circumstances watch it. The only good thing i can say about this is that once you've watched it you can throw it away and never come into contact with another copy again.
