...Starring: Tom Hanks, Helen Hunt, Cristopher Noth

...In the second season of bushcraft survivel Ray Mears go to America, Sweden and explores the beautiful landscapes and animals. He displayes some amazing bushcraft skills on and of water, shows you some things you need to know to survive, e.g. start a fire with sticks. He also journey's into the past of American, learning how the people survived. In Sweden he learns how the local people used to make skis, extracts pine tar from trees and goes out into the snowy desert. Season two is one of the best survival documentaries ever made not only teaching you how to survive but also showing the people who had to endevour these hostile lands. With the DVD comes 60 minutes of extra footage on things like how to light a fire and sharpening an axe. In short this is a must have DVD if you love nature....

Gilliam successfully turns Vegas into a warped netherworld of neon, lizards and nightmarish visions, although doesn't seem to trust his creation to stand alone. He counters this by having Depp read virtually the whole book as a slurring voice over, but unless you're familiar with the source material, this might not help much!
However, despite all the booze and guns and drugs and vomitting, the book's essential poignancy remains. Here...
