James Bond (Roger Moore) must foil the plot of a diabolical scientist trying to control the world computer market by destroying California's Silicon Valley. Christopher Walken is...

Let me start by saying that this James Bond film is perhaps one of the best ones. It's strange because a lot of the die hard James Bond fans don't like this one and The Man With The Golden Gun.

For me, I'm sorry to have to disappoint a lot of the die hard fans but I consider them to be good films. None of the Bond films are exceptionally boring at all. And this Bond film is by all means never a bore, except in a few spots where the film drags slowly, but the pace always picks up.

Christopher Walken was as if he was born to play the role of Max Zorin, a man who wants to destroy Silicon Valley. May Day, a very good Grace Jones, is his partner who helps Max Zorin to make his dreams become a reality. However, at the end, a chain of events is sparked and soon, May Day finds herself the victim of one of Max Zorin's evil plans!

Although I've gone through the main plot points so far, let me go from the beginning. Max Zorin is, besides an oil magnate, a horse racing man and as he cheats his way to mega amounts of money, Bond soon finds out he's up to no good and infiltrates his stables. When Zorin finds out, he kills Tibbett and almost James Bond but he escapes. That's when he meets mystery woman Stacy Sutton, who tells him about Zorin and later, Zorin sets Bond up. It all leads to a mine and Bond escapes from the mine but one of the best villains in the series sacrifices themselves! Then, Bond tries to rescue Stacy in the very good final moments of the film from the psychotic Max Zorin because his plan to destroy Silicon Valley has failed.

The music in this film is really good. They've used a small variety here which I believe is not that common in other Bond films.

The acting is very good as well. A lot of people said Tanya Roberts' acting isn't very good. I've seen worse though I won't name names here.

I'd arguably say the Roger Moore era easily beats a few films from Pierce Brosnan's era.

Still, a good film and I enjoyed it.
