POSTCARDSFROM WITS END
SARAH HARVEY
'Postcardsfrom Wits End' is completely different from the other Sarah Harvey books that I have read.
Having recently read having read 'Misbehaving' and 'Split Ends' by the same author - I found this book completely different to what I expected.
Although classed as a 'romantic novel'. this is no chic lit book, it is well written, has a sad theme running through it but also contains some more light hearted moments.
I don't know what it is about books set in Cornwall, but recently I have read quite a few - and in each one the descriptions are wonderful - the Sennen Cove that Ms Harvey describes is so typical of many of Cornwall's lovely coves, the descriptions of Whitsunday Cottage and the surrounding countryside and really vivid, I could picture the places and the people ...
Advantages: A few pleasant songs Disadvantages: Nothing spectacular
band and didn't have a big media profile like you see some of the bands of today having.
Tunde Baiyewu's voice is not dissimilar in sound to Simon Webbe's (Blue) but perhaps not as deep, but the phrasing is much the same.

Advantages: Shows lovely scenery Disadvantages: Another niche market product
I picked this DVD up for £9.99 last time I went shopping to see if it was any different compared to Manx Moods, another product I've reviewed. And suffice to say - it is.
Its presented by Charles Guard, and travels over the Isle of Man and discusses the impact the last Ice age had on sculpting the hills and the northern plains. It shows some very nice views, and in my opinion is just generally more interesting than Manx Moods. One example is the re-telling of the stories of Peel Castle and the small island it sits on just off the coast of the Peel itself, and lets you appreciate the history behind it.
Everything in this DVD is filmed from the air, via helicopter, and it gives a unique perspective on the land formations, cliffs and hills that have emerged. I thought it was quite 'dudey' with some of the more tricky shots, such as ...
