I have sampled my fair share of Exercise Dvds, and I am very fussy with what ones I stick to! Does this new Vicky Entwistle Weight Off Workout DVD really 'wow' me?
________
When I first saw this Dvd, I really wanted to buy it. Firstly because I was in need of a new DVD as I was getting quite bored with my others, and secondly because it was Vicky Entwistle! I am a massive Coronation Street fan, and I already owned the Debra Stephenson one, so I immediatly assumed this one would be just as good (though why, I do not know!) I bought this DVD straight away and 'bunged' it into my Dvd player, glass of water at the table, raring to go...!
________ The exercise area of this is split into four sections; Warm-Up, Fat Burner, Belly Shrinker and Cool-Down. Vicky and her trainer take us through each section...
::Warm Up:: I enjoy this part. It is a nice way to warm up your body! A lot of it is just simple bouncing and hopping from one foot to another, and 'skipping' from side to side! Really gets your blood pumping, gearing you up, ready for the much more intense workout! This part lasts for around ten minutes, and is really worth it, as pulling muscles during the tougher stage is never good!
::Fat Burner:: Indeed! You really are let in gently with the Warm Up! This is so much more serious, and tires you out! It is a routine full of 'double jabs', punches, and kicks! A total 'street fighting' routine! I guess it would do wonders for your muscles too, as well as burning off those dreaded calories! As fast moving and different this routine may be, it tends to repeat itself a bit too much, and can become boring. This lasts for about twenty minutes!
::Belly Shrinker:: That title of this section seems to remind me of belly dancers. Well, luckily, you do not need to tie your top and roll your stomach round! This is the part which should be done as often as possible, especially when you have lost all the weight you want, as it keeps your figure trim and neat. With a range of squats and press-ups, it is a nice and simple routine to keep a toned stomach, again lasting for ten minutes!
::Cool Down:: This part is very important, as it lets your body know the workout is over, and it is time to start relaxing. A lot of this enjoyful ten-minute section includes simple stretches to release built-up tension in the muscles, and a few breathing exercises as well! After a hard workout, it is a perfect way to end the session!
________ Now, it is all well and good having exercise dvds which quote that they help you lose so much weight in this amount of time, but it does not tell you what you should eat! Well, with WOW, a diet is planned out for you! With different foods to choose from for your three meals, and even healthy snacking options, it is easy to eat right and follow the exercise plan in order to lose those hated pounds, or to trim your figure down!
________ something else I like about this DVD. Without meaning anything nasty by this, Vicky is not the slimmest of women, well she never was anyway, and she wont be model thin, her bones would not allow it! So it is nice to see an exercise DVD presented by a normal woman, instead of stick thin girls which gives the wrong impression!
________ There is also a behind-the-scenes feature on this DVD which takes you backstage in the filming to see how they got on, and what Vicky was like at the beginning of her training!
Vicky lost a whopping ten inches from her waist, two and a half stone, and dropped from a size 16 to a size 6!
___ Well, would I recommend it? YES! It is not an exercise DVD which I would do daily, as it is a bit repetative, but once a week or so, it is brilliant! It certainly gets the 'thumbs up' from me!

l don't watch TV, so l don't know the stars . . . l couldn't follow an exercise DVD like this, as it sounds too physically challenging for my arthritic joints ~ but reading about it stimulates my brain to "think thin!"
