I bought this exercise DVD after reading several new year reviews in the tabloids where the reviewed new exercise DVDs and this one always came out with top marks. Also I realised the instructor was Richard Callender who did Jordan's last exercise DVD - he is very easy on the eye and was good in that DVD. So I thought what have I got to lose? But having bought the DVD I am disappointed. Richard is slightly wooden in this one. Strange seeing as Vicky is far more capable at the exercises than Jordan and has more enthusiasm. But there was just no chemistry between them and he didn't seem to be trying to make an effort and get the viewer interested in the exercise and pumped up with enthusiasm. The DVD is split into 4 sections - 10min Warm Up, 20min Fat Burner, 10min Body Toner and 10min Belly Shrinker. Where is the Cool Down you might ask? Well its hidden at the end of the belly shrinker section. So you either have to always do the abs bit or fast forward 5mins to the Cool Down. Weird! I only have 45mins max in the mornings to do any exercise so can't do a whole DVD in one go. So I chose to do the Fat Burner section, so did the warm up and fat burner and then went to do the cool down and couldn't find it. Came across is by accident in the Belly Shrinker. Don't like that bit. Warm up is good. Gets you moving and probably a good work out in itself for those really short on time. No pre stretches tho. Fat Burner is all boxing moves. He gradually builds on the routine adding one move at a time. Think there are about 5 moves. Thing is because its boxing based you do everything on one side and then have to repeat it on the other side. It certainly gets you out of breath and burning the calories but you might get bored of if fairly quickly. Body Toner is very good toning but nearly all squats and lunges. Belly Shrinker covers a good range of abs workouts but is only 5mins worth as the rest of the section are cool down stretches. Would've prefered a 10min abs section and then a separate cool down of 5-10mins. Oh and the music is quite quiet so doesn't get you pumped up much. One thing that is amazing is the before and after photos of Vicky. If doing this routine 3 times a week produces those results then this DVD will definately be in my DVD player an awful lot!
