Does Vicky wow' me? Review ofVicky Entwistle - WOW! - Weight Off Workout! DVDby

Advantages: Natural, unique, diet plan given Disadvantages: bit repetative
...stick to! Does this new Vicky Entwistle Weight Off Workout DVD really 'wow' me?
When I first saw this Dvd, I really wanted to buy it. Firstly because I was in need of a new DVD as I was getting quite bored with my others, and secondly because it was Vicky Entwistle! I am a massive Coronation Street fan, and I already owned the Debra Stephenson one, so I immediatly assumed this one would be just as good (though why, I do not know!) I ... ...Burner, Belly Shrinker and Cool-Down. Vicky and her trainer take us through each section...
::Warm Up::
I enjoy this part. It is a nice way to warm up your body! A lot of it is just simple bouncing and hopping from one foot to another, and 'skipping' from side to side! Really gets your blood pumping, gearing you up, ready for the much more intense workout! This part lasts for around ten minutes, and is really worth it, as pulling muscles during ...

Advantages: A routine by someone who is just 5ft 1 Disadvantages: quite repetetive and needs co-ordination
...exercise dvds, I came across Vicky entwistles WOW- weight off workout. I hadn't realised that this was on the market and although I watch the odd soap I can't say I'm a huge fan. The thing that initially struck me was that this looks like a normal everyday woman, with no heirs and graces and with an image a little easier for me to relate to . I really didn't want to go down the route of watching a super model jigging about in a skimpy leotard, as ... ...before and after pictures of vicky on the front cover were quite inspiratuinal, wether this can be acheived by me is yet to be seen, as its early days.
The dvd is split into 4 sections warm up, fat burner, body toner and belly shrinker and the whole dvd shows the routine carried out by Vicky and her trainer Richard Callendar and in my opinion he is quite easy on the eye. The dvd is set in the usual minimal studio and with quite an unnoticeable music ...

Advantages: A whole 50 mins of Richard Callendar Disadvantages: A whole 50 mins of Vicky Entwhistle
...complete this section. But, as Vicky tells you, she could only manage five minutes when she first started...and now look at her! This section is based on boxing. There are a few punching moves, some knee lifts and some kicks. The section is quite repetetive, as you have to do each exercise on both the right and the left side. But the routine is fairly easy to master, and you don't need a lot of room. Even if you have a small front room, you will ... ...think this is very good. Vicky tells you its the only part she has to do every day, as her problem area is her tummy, but the exercises are not very intense. I can manage them easily, despite the fact I'm not that great at crunches and stomach exercises. And the day after I didn't get that ache in my abs that reminded me I had done a workout. However, for beginners they are fine, and easy to copy. They belly shrinker actually only lasts about 5 minutes, ...

Advantages: Becomes addictive as you see results fast Disadvantages: Lot of talking but that is only to give you a break in between

Advantages: Split into 3 sections Disadvantages: Slightly repeatative. Cool Down not obvious
...one. Strange seeing as Vicky is far more capable at the exercises than Jordan and has more enthusiasm. But there was just no chemistry between them and he didn't seem to be trying to make an effort and get the viewer interested in the exercise and pumped up with enthusiasm.
The DVD is split into 4 sections - 10min Warm Up, 20min Fat Burner, 10min Body Toner and 10min Belly Shrinker. Where is the Cool Down you might ask? Well its hidden at the end ... ...to always do the abs bit or fast forward 5mins to the Cool Down. Weird! I only have 45mins max in the mornings to do any exercise so can't do a whole DVD in one go. So I chose to do the Fat Burner section, so did the warm up and fat burner and then went to do the cool down and couldn't find it. Came across is by accident in the Belly Shrinker. Don't like that bit.
Warm up is good. Gets you moving and probably a good work out in itself for those ...
