Obviously this is the complete collection of Vicar of Dibley series. However it doesn't include Comic Relief 2007 special.
(By the way, for those who don't know - this year comic relief special was the last episode of Vicar of Dibley in history. They stop making specials from now on).

Obviously this is the complete collection of Vicar of Dibley series. However it doesn't include Comic Relief 2007 special. (By the way, for those who don't know - this year comic relief special was the last episode of Vicar of Dibley in history. They stop making specials from now on). We are going through it at the moment and it is really really funny and nice. Before buying it though, I thought there would be many more episodes than there actually is but it is still very good and well worth it. My favourite thing about it is that every episode ends with the Vicar telling a joke to Alice. So don't turn it off as soon as credits start, because the joke goes actually after the credits!
Advantages: Hilarious, Dawn french at her best Disadvantages: None
This is the complete Vicar of Dibley DVD Box set containing 5 DVD's of all the hilarious antics of the sleepy village of Dibley.
When Dibley's ancient Vicar Reverend Pottle dies during a service the villagers await the arrival of their new vicar. Hoping that the "new chap" will be able to awake the locals into attending church again and raise the congregation from the lowly single figures of late.
What they discover however is that Geraldine a ... ...novelty of having a female vicar wears off it just so happens that her wonderfully humerous attitude to life is just what this sleepy village needs!
The Characters
Geraldine - The Vicar (played by Dawn French): Geraldine is a fun loving, kind hearted, larger than life lady who has two loves in life, Sean Bean and chocolate (which she indulges in all too frequently!). She wins over the whole village to prove that she is exactly what Dibley needs ...

...works is here. It's The Vicar Of Dibley! Starring Dawn Freanch, this 5 disc box set isn't something you want to miss. Containing the 2 series, seasonal specials and christmas specials. This is your chance to relive those humourous nights infront of the telly; especially those most memorable moments like, Alice's bridesmaids, Alice's and Hugo's first kiss, Geraldine's hairy easter bunny moment and the famous 4 christmas dinners. I haven't forgotten ...

...an actor. One further occasion David sits in, as Alice is on honeymoon.
But now on to the DVD! It has been rated as a 12, due to the nature of some of the shows. This boxset has been split in to 6 separate DVDs, all of which are explained in detail below:
DVD 1: The complete first series.
Arrival: The Vicar first arrives in Dibley following the death of thehir former vicar, at the grand old age of beinng over 100 (plus being there since the age of 17). Being a traditional village, they are of course all up in arms.
Songs of Praise: of course, the title gives it away. But during the show, Gerry fanices the producer; David fancies the camerwoman - and the two unbeknown to all those involved are actually an item.
Community Spirit: the annual village fete. Hoping to improve on the abysmal effort of the previous year, Gerry...

...I am absolutely addicted to The Vicar Of Dibley and when I opened this up at Christmas I was over the moon! This is the latest DVDboxset and in my opinion is brilliant as it has every episode created (including the comic relief short episodes) and has the story of Dibley in which the people involved in the comedy show talk about their experiences whilst filming.
If you haven't heard of The Vicar Of Dibley (shame on you!) then I'll give you a quick overview.
The British sitcom was aired on the 10th November 1994 and the last episodes Christmas 2006. It is still popular and is repeated on UKTV Gold today.
