Advantages: Great slapstick comedy with the appeal of the Spaghetti westerns
Disadvantages: Dubbing

...Hill (real name Mario Girotti) and big grumpy and hairy Bud Spencer (real name Carlo Pedersoli, a former Olympic swimmer). These films made them into international stars. In the earlier of the two films we also see Farley Granger (who starred in Hitchcock's 'Rope' and 'Strangers on a Train') having a great time hamming it up as the evil Maj. Harriman. THE FILMS They Call Me Trinity (1970) Trinity a sort of hobo gunslinger turned bounty hunter rides into a small town only to find his brother Bambino as the sheriff. Of course his brother is not a real sheriff but an outlaw who broke the real sheriff's leg leaving him for dead and took over his identity in order to hide out from the law. He also has an eye of rustling the local landowner horse before he leaves and isn't keen on having his brother around for a share of the spoils... Read review

Advantages: Practice your Italian with the aid of English subtitles
Disadvantages: You are very unlikely to want to watch it all the way thru

...A couple inherits a mansion, but when they move in they discover that it is haunted by the murderous spirits of people who have died there. Now I am a fan of most horror films and have witnessed some very poor films in my time, that would fail to impress a six year old but at least they all had some saving grace; be it a single scene, actor, inventive method of execution. Which begs the question of why was this made? Unless some convoluted tax scam was involved it should have been blindingly obvious that it was a stinker. Even 'Hammer House of Horror' had higher standards. Avoid at all costs, probably the worst horror I have ever seen, with the most annoying group of actors ever cast. You don't even get the satisfaction of seeing them all die horribly.... Read review
