DVD Description
The period drama about the comings and goings in an aristocratic British house during the early part of the twentieth century continue with seven more episodes on this installment. With the First World War on the horizon, the house is struck by tragedy. Meanwhile staff members consider jobs elsewhere and an attractive French Countess has her eye on Richard Bellamy, the head of the house.
Advantages: Another great collection of classics Disadvantages: Still some glaring omissions
...The 'Very Best Of...Volume 2' DVD is excellent but once again is something of a wasted opportunity and is something of an ecletic mix.
The episodes featured here are mostly wonderful but just as Volume 1 was basically a selection of Series7episodes this is a selection of Series 8 episodes but with one surprise inclusion:- 'The Bath' is an outstanding black and white episode from the 1963 Series 2. Like most of the original 1960's episodes it is sheer quality and has more cutting edge and sharper humour than the later 1970's episodes.
The problem with its rightful inclusion in a 'Very Best Of' collection is that its sound and picture quality is at odds with the rest of this particular collection.
Here is a run through of the 5 episodes on offer - once again, despite the omissions (still no 'Divided We Stand' perhaps the best...

Advantages: Great plots, well written, good well known actors / actresses Disadvantages: A bit pricey
...out, were left in and the actors / actresses told to 'carry on'.
This boxset consists of 21 discs and runs for 56 hours and 40 minutes, mostly in colour (a few episodes from the first series were lost leaving the Black & White copies only). Made between 1971 -1974 cert 12.

...The mighty boosh
This has to be the most funnies thing on the planet
Vince noir and Howard moon go on some seriously funny adventures
They:
Fight kangaroos
Nearly gets frozen black frost
Get put in a box by the hither
Come across people with cheese heads
Vince and Howard are really good friends and do everything together. Vince is more electro and howard is all about jazz
And is trying to win the heart of the reptile keeper
Anybody would love this it has to be the best comedy programme ever!
