This two-hour-plus DVD captures most of one concert by the four rappers who joined together for this tour: Ice Cube, Eminem, Dr Dre, and Snoop Dogg. If you aren't a fan of the music, don't expect this to change your mind, or even to help you understand these rappers' appeal. For the devoted, however, you get heaping doses of four of the hottest acts working, in a show that includes lavish production values, as well as plenty of backstage footage and photographs as extra features. This is the first thing I watched when I got a DVD player - The Up In Smoke Tour, featuring Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Ice Cube. This DVD contains 2 1/2 hours of live tracks , skits and backstage footage from some of the most influential rappers of our era.
Ice Cube kicks off the DVD, coming to the stage in a giant “ice cube” and performing “Hello” amongst others. After the set, we see some backstage footage featuring Cube and others before Eminem takes the stage to perform “Kill U” and “The Real Slim Shady” to name just a couple.
The real action starts with a 5 minute movie clip featuring Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg. This leads straight into their set which also features Eminem and Xhibit.
If you are into hip-hop music this is one of the best DVDs you will ever buy and it is worth every penny.

...I bought this dvd a while ago and I though it would be good because of the people performing in it. When I first watched it I was more then impressed however. Everything is filmed in great detail and gives the viewer the impression that they are in the arena watching the concert live.
First up on stage is Ice Cube, who comes out of something that resembles an ice cube. His set isn't very long but he performs some of his classics and was more than enough for me as I am not very familiar with his music.
Second was Eminem, his set was longer and he sings quite a few of his singles as well as less known songs such as Criminal an others. He also puts on a Insane Clown Possee diss, which is hilarious.
After this comes on the best part of the show - Dre and Snoop. The have loads of video interludes which are stunning. They also have...

7, Stan ? Behind the scenes
A relatively short ?making of?- this is ok, you don?t really see much of eminem, Dr dry has an input, along with Dido, Devon, The reason for eminem not been in the ?the making of? is because he was not really in the video!.. not a bad feature!

I thought this would be eminem?s set of the house on the front cover of the album (marshal mathers LP) how wrong am I!!!!, its basically 2 guy?s breaking into Em?s house in a ? spooky? type of way!, this trailer was played in the up and smoketour 2002! As part as eminem?s entrance
