...For a few years now I've been a great fan of John Petrucci, he never ceases to amaze me with his speed, technique and overall guitar mastery. When I borrowed this DVD from a friend, I saw him in a new light, one that you won't see just by watching him live or listening to his music. He is such a down to earth guy, that explains things very well, and you most definitely will finish watching this DVD with your mouth open and just run straight for your guitar (that is if you haven't already done so).
So to start, John demonstrates some non-guitar warm-up exercises, that are vital for the workout that will follow. Then he picks up his guitar and proceeds to left-hand stretches and various other warm-ups for the picking hand (some require hands like a giant but they are still extremely useful)

Advantages: very easy to understand and awesome to play along to! Disadvantages: could be a bit longer of a dvd, seemed rather short to be honest!
...this is an awesome dvd that shows you step by step the greatest styles of nirvana, its simply amazing how addictive it is to play along to once you start you just wanna keep on playing along to this super duper dvd
i didnt realise how kool nirvana were when i got this dvd by chance i picked up lots and lots of useful guitartechniques that really advanced by playing abilities!
i recommend this dvd to you all, and also you should check out the other lick library dvds, in particular the steve vai, and joe satriani ones!
the only problem with these lick library dvds is that they are too short, if only they were 5 hours long!
hehe, o well ul have loads of fun playing along to this and so i strongly recommend it!

Advantages: In depth look at the album. Extra material for DVD. Disadvantages: Not long enough!
...Jones - Guitar, Glen Matlock - Bass and Paul Cook - Drums), plus manager Malcolm McLaren and graphic artist Jamie Reid, discussing the origins of how the group came together and started rehearsing to build up some songs for a live set and ultimately, to record an album. You notice that John Lydon in particular has lost none of his conviction and fire, still coming across as articulate and intelligent. Also, you can see throughout the DVD, that all the personalities associated with the band, have calmed down a bit with age so all the comments are given in a relaxed and very good humoured fashion with a lot of hindsight.

The development and recording of some of the album tracks are covered in turn, mixed with information about events which were happening around the band at the time, including TV and Film clips plus overlaid...
