♫ If God will send his angels
This video was made by Phil Joanou. He's also a film director and had already worked with U2 on "Rattle and hum". The scene takes place in a café and the screen is divided horizontally. On top, Bono is singing and there are sometimes someone next to him. Below, we can see what Bono can see while he's singing. People come and go and the rhythm is fast. They don't seem to realize that Bono is here : they keep chatting, laughing and smiling.
♫ Who's gonna ride your wild horses
This other video by Phil Joanou mixes images of the band on stage during the ZooTV tour and Bono in a photo session (there are close-ups of him). The stadium is crowded with the audience. If you pay attention to the comment of the director, you'll know that it was filmed with Super8 ...
Advantages: Great songs, great vocals, awesome performance, classic U2 Disadvantages: ----------- Are you mad? -------------
By chance I caught this show on BBC1 on few years ago late at night with the curtains drawn and immediately noted it down as something I simply had to own.
Everyone with internet access must have heard of U2 at some stage be it via their multi-million selling albums, the limited edition i-pods or Bono's endless work for the potless in Africa so I won't go into an indepth analysis of who the group are or of their achievements over the 20 odd years they have been performing. Needless to say, they are global superstars and put on quite possibly the greatest shows of our time.
The DVD cost me £15.99 from HMV last year and it is widely availble across the interweb from various shops and stores.
Recorded during the US stage of their tour in Boston circa June 2001, this album takes in most of the songs from the Elevation Tour. Starting ...

released "Live At Red Rocks - Under A Blood Red Sky". Unlike the album, the concert was filmed entirely at the atmospheric Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Colorado under flaming torches and in the pouring rain, and ultimately setting the scene for the success that was to follow for U2 as a live act right up to this day.
The concert video is now available as an accompanying DVD with the album, although you can buy them separately.
Rather than release a full concert for the album, U2 chose their best songs and created an out-of-order tracklisting built to maximize the album's impact and added one of their B-side's ("Party Girl") to complete the eight-track album.
The tracks :-
1. Gloria
2. 11 O'Clock Tick Tock
3. I Will Follow
4. Party Girl
5. Sunday Bloody Sunday
6. The Electric Co.
7. New Year's Day
8. "40"
