(You may recognise her as famously playing Liz McDonald in Coronation Street.) Although she is not a main character as such, whenever she is on screen you will find yourself in hysterics. Her constant nagging of Donna and her endless efforts of trying to seduce Gaz are side splitting! Bev Callard should have received an award for her perfect comic timing.
There are also in/out characters who appear regularly throughout the series such as Gaz's ill-fated brother and the raunchy barmaid that is always causing trouble (even these nab some great one liners) but I think the show is very much focused on the characters I have described above. THE best comedy series ever created is my honest opinion. There are very few actual laugh out loud comedy programmes however all seven series of this fabulous box set are incredibly funny. The family consists of Delboy (the ultimate cockney geezer), his brother Rodney (the ultimate dipstick), and either grandad in earlier series or uncle Albert in later series, and of course their friends including Trigger and Boycie. As far as british comedy goes, I would go as far as saying this is unbeatable, from the moment you begin watching you will fall in love with the loveable rogues and follow their journey through the years as they try absolutely every scam in the book to make a fast buck. You could also watch these episodes over and over again which suggests how good this is. The box set is a must have for any fan out there. ...
