late-teens/early twenty-somethings in the northern town of Runcorn. Janet is going out with Jonny, his best friend Gaz has started to date Janet's best friend Donna, and self-centred student Louise just wants a job to keep her in cigarettes. There's also Donna's sarcastic mother, Flo, constantly nagging her daughter to take up a 'proper' relationship with a worthy young man. Storylines followed the on-again/off-again relationships of the young protagonists who have lots of sex and meet in pubs. After the first series the show was initially broadcast on BBC Choice and its successor BBC3. The second series was shown by terrestrial BBC2 from 12 August to 16 September 2002, the third from 7 July to 15 September 2003, the musical special on 10 May 2004 and the fourth series from 17 May to 19 July 2004. The show's title was inspired by the 1980 hit single 'Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps Please' by "Splodgenessabounds".

Advantages: Genuinely Funny, Original, Great Cast, BBC's Longest Running Comedy Show (Sit-Com) Disadvantages: Acquired Taste, A Bit Crude, Not Everyone's Cup Of Tea

Two Pints of larger and a packet of crisps is a BBC comedy for ages 15+ but pitches it main audience at the 16-30 bracket. Containing an assortment of various topics, the main underlying theme focuses on 5 main characters, in the town that they live. In my opinion I think that two pints is the 'Marmite' of comedies, in that true to the saying 'you either love it or hate it'. For me personally, I absolutely despise ... ...many people who don't like Two Pints (as with all comedies, the material is of a personal taste) it has it's fans in the hordes. It is currently (as of January 2007) the longest running comedy (sit-com) show on the BBC. The show spans a full six series at present, with 54 half hour shows in it's library. The show is written by Susan Nickson, who in an early interview revealed that the show (or at least the first series) stole many ideas from her ...

Advantages: So funny you'll laugh out loud Disadvantages: No seventh series yet
...funny situation comedy that is Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps which is based on two couples and their crazy friend in Runcorn. They experience everything life can throw at them from relationships, babies, unfaithfulness, job problems and much much more.
The cast includes Will Mellor, Ralf Little, Natalie Casey, Sheridan Smith and Kathryn Drysdale. Will Mellor has been seen before in Hollyoaks as has Natalie Casey. Ralph Little is better ... ...whilst having sex!!
Series two includes episodes such as:
Dirty Girls – Jonny finds out that Janet has kept an old love letter from her ex, Andy. Flo, Donna’s mum, asks her to move out. Janet shows Jonny, James from the chemist, on the pretence that he is Andy!!
Crusty Curtains – Donna and Gaz make a list of demands from each other. Donna’s list is short and reasonable however, Gaz’s list is pages and pages long. Donna ends up at Janets house, ...

Quick review of Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps - Complete Series 1-6 (Six Discs) (Box Set) (DVD) Review ofTwo Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps - Series 1-6 - Complete DVDby

a friend of mine lent me this box set.i think it is great value for money .located in runcorn (near liverpool).it has really funny story lines the good thing about this comady is that there are not to many special effects but is really quiet humarouis to watch and i always get a good laugh from it.gaz is my best caractor in the series a man always getting into trouble with his mouth and always wanting sex with his girl friend donna.Donna i find to be a down to earth girl that just want's a her boyfriend to be normal. i find that two pints of larger you can watch over and over again and still laught at the same bits. i would recomend this dvd to everyone that has a good sense of humor this dvd is one of the better one's in the modern comady series.

Advantages: really, really funny Disadvantages: one continous story, and not really intelligent humour
i would struggle to sit here and review each episode on each disc, and it would probably bore the hell out of you.
so ill keep it brief, this show details the lives of 5 people, in ever degrading and immature situations. its a cross between friends and decaying toilet humour.
if you like any of BBC2s late night humour then is for you, as they try and almost rstrict the viewing audience for their comedy nights.
unless you can appreciate jokes about ... ...this muti pack is probably the cheapest way to get all the series' they always are. but the down side is have 6 series nicely packed, if seris 7 comes out and your a collector your 7th series doesent look so great sat on its own, multi packs are always best when either one of the actors dies or they finally declare the final episodes like friends.
what i find with tv show dvds is they wear thin easily, i tend to get bored, family guys the only one ...

Advantages: Fittie Will Mellor and lots of laughs from king of biscuits-Jonny!! Disadvantages: Louise's squeaky voice
...- for me - they are the two best episodes. I first caught Ralf Little and Sheridan Smith in another fave series of mine-The Royle Family. You can buy each series seperately in HMV for around £10-£15 each (not sure on the price for the entire box set sorry) ...
