Sequel to The vampire lovers(1970) and Lust for a vampire (1970), this last film in great Karnstein trilogy is another lush and enjoyable Gothic fairytale from Hammer Films. It has not much to do with Sheridan LeFanu´s 1872 novella Carmilla, which inspired the trilogy: lovely vampire Mircalla is now a very special guest star in the war between vampiric Count Karnstein (very mu-ha-ha performance by Damien Thomas) and witch-hunting Gustav Weil (sympathetic performance by Peter Cushing in a very unsympathetic role) in 17th (?) century Styria. Weil´s physically identical but otherwise dissimilar nieces, pure and wimpy Maria (Mary Collinson) and nasty slut Frieda (Madeleine Collinson) look impressive in their diaphanous negligees and gorgeous low-cut gowns, and Frieda turns to be an enjoyable villainess. The photography, sets and scenery make the film look wonderful , and although Tudor Gates´otherwise excellent script introduces some stink-air don´t-trust-anyone-over-30s crap (middle-aged men burn Playboy models in the stake, not lonely old women), Twins of evil is another jewel in Hammer´s 1970s output.

released and scattered all over the Island. A few are activated by water and Lilo and Stitch race to find them and thier one true place before captain Ganyu captures them.
Obviously the film cannot show all the experiments, but it does lead on quite nicely to the animated series on the Disney channel.
I have seen this film many times as all my children are glued to it, infact my twin girls ask for
Lilo and Stitch every day. This film is typical of Disney, with the feel good factor and good over evil.
We have the Dvd and it includes the bonus features of 'Hamsterviel's trivia challenge for Trivial earthlings'
