The Tweenies are 4 (children) Tweenies who go to the tweenies nursery everyday which is run by Judy (large green tweenie) and Max (large pink tweenie). The tweenies Fizz (who is yellow and wears a pink dress), Bella (who is Blue and long yellow hair), Milo (who is purple with black spiky hair) and little Jake (who is peach with a yellow Mohawk hair). All the tweenies are pre-school age (2 - 4). There is a dog called Doodles who is red with yellow spots, he is Jakes best friend. He talks and sings and joins in with some of the tweenies games. His owner is Max.

Tweenies 2 in 1 DVD - Party Games. Laughs and giggles and Animal Friends.

If your child loves tweenies, then this DVD is a must have.

The DVD runs for almost 2 hours (118mins) so peace and quiet from your little ones.

The DVD starts with a menu for you to choose Party Games or Animal Friends; there is also an option for subtitles on this DVD.

Party Games, Laughs and Giggles.

When you choose this option you have a few options

• Play All
• Surprise Time (Fizz's Birthday Party)
• More

There is also a screen by screen selection, as this part of the DVD is parts taken from all different tweenies episodes.

• Party Song - Hokey Cokey
This is when the tweenies sing and dance to the Hokey Cokey, and poor Jake has problems with his ins and outs.

• Pretend and Play - Aladdin
The tweenies put on a short play of Aladdin, Milo plays Aladdin, Jake plays Abernazer, Bella the genie and Fizz plays Aladdin's mum and the princess. This is a great section and my 2 year old gets really sucked in.

• Party Games - Colours
They make colour dominos and play and sing.

• Party Games - Rhythm of the music
The tweenies and Max sing and dance to Rhythm of the music.

• Pretend and Play - Tweenie TV
The tweenies make their own TV in the surprise area and all act out different shows, max has a ventriloquist Monkey called Arnold, the tweenies find this act quite funny, but my 2 year old son finds this Monkey very scary and bursts into tears every time he sees it, and he is not easily scared, this is my only complaint in this section of the DVD.

• Party Game - Monsters
The tweenies play a game which is like musical statues they dance to the music and when it stops they freeze and the monster (one of the tweenies) has to scare them into to moving and then they are out. Since seeing this my son now wants to play monsters all the time, most times giving me the fright of my life whilst I'm doing the dishes!!!!

• Pretend and Play - Ugly Bug Ball
The tweenies dress up as bugs from the ugly bug ball then sing and dance and act out the song, very well done.

• Party Game - Who am I?
The tweenies take turns in blind folding themselves then feeling the other tweenies to guess who they are.

• Party Song - Tweenie Beat.
The tweenies sing and dance to their own song called Tweenie Beat.

• Happy Birthday Fizz!
It is Fizz's 4th birthday, so the other tweenies make and wrap presents for her and plan a surprise birthday party for her.

This is then the end of the first half of the DVD, which is approx about and hour long, it is full of games, singing and dancing which the kids will enjoy and also learn from. My son and I feel that the tweenies are very informative and through productive play your child can learn valuable lessons.
You must now return to the main menu to click and watch the second part of the DVD Animal Friends. The only things that I find with this DVD is that both parts of the DVD don't continue to play all the way through it stops after the first one they you must choose animals friends for it to play the second half, and you know what kids are like they are impatient and want it playing yesterday! But apart from that very good quality DVD.

Animal Friends.

In this menu setup you have the tweenie clock. You have the option to play all or again you can choose screen to screen selection.

• Old MacDonald had a farm - The tweenies sing and dance with Max.

• Animal Dancers - The tweenies are shown a TV program of wind and the willows on ice, and the tweenies love the costumes so much, that they make their own costumes and listen and dance to classical music pretending to be different animals, very imaginative and show kids how to use their imagination from listening to different sounds of music.

• Farmyard Animals - Sing and Dance and pretend to be cows, pigs etc.

• Starfish - Fizz, Milo and Max take a trip to the beach to see starfish in the rock pools and go back to the play group and make their own rock pool animals and of course a starfish.

• Wriggly Creatures - The tweenies sing about Wiggly WOO!

• Lions and Mice - Bella and Fizz act out a small play for Milo Jake and Judy about the lion and the mouse.

• Dragons - Milo loves dragons and believes they are real the rest of the tweenies do not. Milo goes outside to play and meets a small dragon who is unwell; Milo gives it a scarf and makes him all better.

Again this section of the DVD is very informative, very good ideas for your kids to remember and recognise different animals. My son just loves this DVD. I feel it is great value for money because you are getting two tweenies DVD for one, and keeps the kids entertained for hours, so gives you a chance to get the housework done. I don't feel guilty about letting him watch TV because it is a fun DVD where he learns as he plays, which is no bad thing in my opinion.

This DVD was made in 1998 and we bought it from the you at work website in 2004 for approx £7.00 which was a fantastic bargain, we also bought all the other tweenies DVDs at the same time for about £4.00 each.
