Yes we've all seen these types of movies but this one for some reason stands out from the crowd. Then at the end you are really hoping the poor air hostess who is flying manages to land safely while fighter planes think about blowing it up. This is great entertainment even if predictable.
...imperiled heroine and her attempts to land the 747 are somewhat interesting from a technical perspective, but it's the auto-pilot with more lives than a cat that steals the show. As a so-called action-thriller, Turbulence is about as exciting as a flight simulator game and takes longer to get going. ...

Advantages: Fans of Muhammed Ali will love it !!!! Disadvantages: I found it boring and unexciting to be honest.
What it About?
The film is based on Ali in his pomp (1964-1974), And a lot is fitted into the two- and- a- half- hours of film. We get Cassius Clay winning the world title, his conversion to Islam and the name Muhammad Ali, his refusal to fight in Vietnam, the stripping of his title and, finally, the superhuman effort it took to regain it against George Foreman. There's also the personal relationships with sports journalist Howard Cosell (Jon Voight), Malcolm X (Mario Van Peebles) and the women in his life. Okay, so it may only scratch beneath Ali's skin, but there's no faulting Will Smith's performance or the movie's attempt to chronicle a turbulent decade in US history.

DVD Extras
This is exactly the same presentation as the double disc ...
Advantages: Tense, tightly paced, good leads, entertaining Disadvantages: DVD extras are a bit disappointing
at the box office after the problems of Cursed.
-Sound & Vision-
Red Eye was shot in 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen and looks great on DVD. The film has a nice visual style with a lot of dark blacks and blues. I certainly felt that transfer upheld the cinematic feel of the film.
The Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack is also a nice surprise. As a lot of the film takes place in one location you get a good sound experience. The rear speakers are mixed with the background noise of the plane and the turbulence to place you right on top of the action.
-Extras-
The DVD comes with a small amount of extras to supplement the film. Craven contributes an audio commentary that also includes the producer and editor. I've always found Craven's commentary tracks to be interesting and this is no exception. With the film's short running time there is a lot ...

Pier Paolo Pasolini (1922 ?1975) was an Italian poet, novelist, playwright, journalist, linguist, film director, philosopher and actor. The director?s biography section on this DVD sheds more light on the artist?s turbulent life and mysterious death. Among his most famous films in addition to Il Decameron are Arabian Nights and The Canterbury Tales. His most controversial film remains to be Salò which is based on Marquis de Sade?s The 120 Days of Sodom.

Pasolini does not appear as an actor in Arabian Nights, and yes, if you watch The Decameron and Canterbury Tales before watching this film, you will miss his presence.
Most actors in this film are amateurs ...
What looks like a routine flight from New York to Los Angeles turns into a nightmare when four federal marshalls board the plane with two handcuffed criminals...
When a commercial jetliner transporting a death-row rapist/serial killer falls into the seductive psycho's hands, a plucky flight attendant attempts not only to escape the lunatic's plans to torture and kill her, but to personally land the 747 before the nutcase can achieve his kamikaze goal of going up in a ball of flames. A kinetic thriller from the producer of JAGGED EDGE.
