WHAT MADE ME CHOOSE THIS TITLE

Transformers to me as a child was one of those programs that always amazed me and at that age you don't ask your self how these huge robots transform in to the likes of a huge mack truck to a power full hand sized gun or even a car or a fighter jet you just know they do it and they did it with so much style,Transformers is one of many TV products of the 80s that were only released to sell toy lines just like HEE-MAN was , but only a few of these cartoon and toy lines ever lasted more than 6 months to a year on the market before they ended up in the bargain bin on you local market place,Transformers lasted longer much longer than any other toy line they are still with us now after an amazing 23 years.
Since the first arrival of the transformers in 1984 they became an instant hit and a legend in one, they sold millions of toys which at the time were a major must have for any child in the play ground and they were total different than any other product had ever even tried to be,who would ever imagine a robot could disguise its self as a common everyday
object like a stereo or a car that could hide with out being detected for as long as it needed?who ever though of the idea really was a genius in every way,the only thing i can think that ever came close in a program was knight rider the car that could think and bargain with its driver but even he was locked into the body of a car.

WHAT TYPE OF DVD IS THIS

The DVD is the full first season which started off the whole phenomena which was the transformer off,The DVD set consists of three disc which is pack with sixteen full episodes,the first disc tells us the full story of how the AUTOBOTS which are the robots fighting for good and the DECEPTICONS which are evil came to crash land on earth this is a 3 episode story and really gives you the story of how these two robot factions came to be at each others necks all the time LOL, the rest of the stories slowly introduce all the main character's into the story one by one so you can quickly start to remember all the robots name with out being over come by all the characters at once.
As well as the sixteen episodes we also have lots of extras ranging from interviews trailers and toy adverts to wallpaper and screen savers for your pc,we also have commentary and a look into the mistakes that were made in the episodes as well as scripts,quizzes and character profiles

HOW GOOD IS THE DVD AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING IT

Since I first got the box set I have watched it over six times from start to finish I just cannot get enough of it all ,There are so many memories from my childhood that come back I'm glued to the screen.its not just the stories that bring you back for more its the characters they just seem at times like your friends and you know what there going to do next and you can almost feel for them all,The AUTOBOTS are the race that just want to live there life with out hate and greed and as always theres the people in the world that want the opposite they want conflict and to grow stronger and rule over everything and one else and this is what the DECEPTICONS want.
I think this DVD set has been put together really well with the collectors of the toys as well as the people who just love the stories in mind,there is so much to look at and look into it will keep you busy for a longtime to come,I think anyone who loved the stories and had the toys as a child should take a look at this collection as it really does bring memories back,I remember myself only having three of the small transformer toys as a kid from the third season one was a F1 car and the other 2 were normal type cars as they were so hard to get hold of ,then a few years later when the toys started to go out of fashion I picked up two of the full size transformer off a car boot sale
one was a crocodile and the other was a spaceship both were the DECEPTICONS which made me smile so much I loved them to bits even tho there weapons were missing I wish i still had them now bet they would be worth a few pennies but like most things from are childhood they vanish never to be seen again,you know thinking about it? I bet they ran off some wear and they really were real LOL.

Series one is also one of the cheapest boxed sets you can get I found mine in the sale at HMV around 8 months ago for a brilliant £9.99 but it did'nt stay that cheap for more than a few days,you can find it on most internet sites on the web but amazon has the cheapest at £12.99 or if you wanted to look for a second hand copy look to pay under £10.00 on either amazon marketplace or EBAY.
please note that these DVD's come in two forms depending on the year it was released the older version is the better ones with the DVD's coming in separate red DVD cases with different art work on each case , the newer versions comes in a slimmer case that folds out with the 3 disc's kept in one card blister type case,
I must note that these sets are becoming harder and harder to get hold of specially series two part 2 and the last of the original series 3 with the rebirth last episode.
