ex-Coronation Streetstar Tracy Shaw is back with another dose ofSalsacise. With choreographer and salsa maestro Michael Betts devising the session, this time the duo focus on hips and thighs. Thats not to say there are no Latin moves to take away: both the warm up and salsa split session are great fun. Note these arent real salsa moves, and youd look pretty odd doing them in a salsa club, but anywhere else the steps would wow.As the session goes into a hip and thigh-stretching Latin lunge, the dance moves give way to more conventional exercise, with the booty burner (for bums), side slimmer (for waist) and tum tightener (for abs) all being floor-based. The effects are certainly felt on the targeted bits, but avoid any of the floor routines in isolation as without adequately preparing the body, back problems are a risk. With each five to seven-minute routine clearly delineated, by far the biggest temptation is to skip the floor workentirely and stick to the fun bits.Whether this ends up shifting the fat off those hips and thighs is really irrelevant: theyll be moving in a sexy way. Yes, I cheated, I had to go and sit down for ten minutes but I was hurting all over. I finally continued.
Side Slimmer – yes, you can guess it, it shrinks your waist and it does not say on the video but it hurts your back. Of course, I warmed up again. Tum Tightener – Yes, my partner calls it handles but I just call is flab. This part tones and burns flab off tum and it does work. It just gives you cramps in your stomach. Cool Down – I throught this was the best bit of the video. Relaxing and stretching your body out. I even did it twice.
I would not say I am unfit because I walk and go swimming a lot and I use to run for Cornwall about four years ago. However, I was in so much pain it lasted for about three days. The main problems of this video are that it is too fast and of course it does hurt.
I success I gained from this video was that I did lose one pound in one day.
I think I will go back on my old Mr Motivator videos it is less painful.
Buy it see how far you will go to lose weight. Since I have lost a stone and a half I have used it three time
Advantages: You feel the burn in the arms and legs alike! :-) Disadvantages: I didn't feel the burn in the Fab abs section! :-(
...a multitude of costumes that Tracy wears through out this dvd - I lost count after a while! I would say that alot of this is probably to make her look so glamourous! Tracy you are a beautiful girl without playing up to the camera anymore!
There is a section called Fab Abs - I dont think this was long enough however I found that because my legs and arms were aching so much from doing the dancing - that at the time of doing the actual dvd i didn\'t ...

Advantages: All round workout Disadvantages: Too cheesy by half
...the dancer accompanying the inane Tracy Shaw does a good and varied job of the choreography (set in a terrible nightclub somewhere with stars on the walls and a Billy Jean dancefloor, muchas comedy) and it holds your interest - every now and then you hear a 'eeh by eck as like' by a panting Shaw off camera, who is obviously fitter than she makes out. Watching this over and over you can't help but wonder how she got this gig as she clearly isn't much ... ...Betts, who can't seem to take his eyes or his hands off her by the end, it's quite funny. My only criticism is the salsa music, which is the only reason I bought this tape as I love salsa dancing in clubs. There's one obviously salsa-themed track on this with the traditional brass and percussion instruments, but the rest is just terrible cheesey electronic lift music, it's a real shame. Salsa can be so brilliant to dance to, so it does let the whole ...

...me though and that was Tracy herself! She seemed so weak especially in the toning section, that lasted all of 2 mins until she could not do anymore. Her outfits were a little dodgey and I personally would not wear them to do a work out...maybe salsa dancing but she must have got so hot! The routines are very fun though and the time goes by really quickly, it's also a really effective workout especially compared to similar soap stars turned fitness ...

...It is quite funny watching the many array of costumes that Tracy Shaw wears through out the dvd - that would be the only downside of this workout dvd - Tracy seems to be more interested in her appearance than in the workout itself - Pucker up the pout Tracy! ...

I decided to start my fitness regime permanently at new year - I've been doing exercise video's on and off for a few years now, and as I tend to get bored easily, I am always looking for new ones to keep me interested. I browsed Amazon Marketplace over Christmas and settled on TracyShaw's Salsacise for hips and thighs, mainly because it was one of the cheapest ones I didn't already have! I must confess I'm not a great fan of TracyShaw, but don't let that influence your decision to purchase this, because luckily Tracy doesn't speak through most of it! It's actually an Australian (or kiwi?) guy called Michael Betts who does the instruction in this DVD, and he's pretty pleasant to watch - not too irritating.Tracy also has another SalsaciseDVD which is simply called 'TracyShaw's Salsacise', but I don't think it's necessary to buy that ...

Well, not especially being a fan of exercise or TracyShaw (she of Coronation Street fame), I approached this Salsacisedvd with some trepidation. I'm naturally a slim person with a raging metabolic rate and have luckily never really had any need to exercise to keep in shape. However a couple of years or so ago (around the time of my mid-twenties crisis!), age began to take its sorry toll and I have to admit to falling victim to a bit of tummy-spread and bottom-drop! Also, having taken my slimness for granted for so many years, my general fitness is not good as it could be. So, being in the midst of a bit of a lifestyle sort-out, I decided I'd take up an exercise regime to try and put back in place the bits that have strayed a little and attempt to improve my general health.
So why TracyShaw's Salsacise for Hips and Thighs as ...

Bought this dvd about a year ago, cost me £12.99, which i think is excellent value for money.
Watched it first and was very impressed because although there are some difficult parts in the routine, there were alternatives that you could do if u felt you couldnt do the advanced moves.
First time i actually did the workout i did do the easier options & still got a good workout. Gradually built up to the harder moves by about the 5th time.
Tracyshaw was excellent she really worked hard she was teamed up with michael betts, who was also excellent.
