I'd heard people harping on about these things which are called beanies, then my niece asked me if I could buy her one for her birthday so after searching the net to get her one I ordered one for myself too, now I have over 100 that was only 1 month ago.
These lovely little beanies are made by TY Warner and are highly collectable as I have recently just discovered. There are animals made, bears, kids and buddies which are larger versions of the beanie babies and just recently beanie boppers have just been introduced to the TY range.
They are called beanies because they are filled with beans, pe pellets or previously older versions were filled with pvc pellets.
All beanies have a hang tag the red loveheart hanging from the toy and a tush tag each indicating the name of the beanie and birthdate, and the generation also of the toy both of which need to be in mint condition for it to be of any value.
I thought people were mad when they said how much these things could be worth until I bought Nectar a Hummingbird which retired after just one week ( TY stopped making it ) I paid £5 it is now worth £30.
The thing I like about these toys is that they are affordable at £5.99 each or under from a primary seller, my little girl collects the beanie kids and gets one every 2 weeks with her pocket money.
There are loads of websites which sell these and offer lots of news re the retirements etc most sites also have special offers which is always a bonus.
As I said I've been collecting them now for 1 month and will continue to collect just as long as I'm enjoying it.

I would have given you a higher rating, but you've put this in the wrong catagory. Cheers..........Darren
