Dont you just love them!!, the collectable toys from TY warner. Beanies cover nearly every animal and some insects too, which makes them appealing to boys and girls and also us oldies too, as the bears can be collectors items as so few of them hit the shelves and also there are different bears for every country, which makes it more of a chalenge. I personally have all the Bears and some such as Britannia and Germania can change hands for as much as £50-£100 or more!! The exciting thing is that you just dont know what is coming out next!!. The problem with them is that they are not really suitable for children to play with if you are a serious collector as they need to be in mint condition and not even the tags can be bent!!!
Thats why its best to let little ones have the ordinary animals and keep the bears yourself!!!. the prices can vary a lot too, beware of rip off merchents who charge high prices for bears or different prices for different ones, plus shops who make you buy say 5 normal Beanies to get one new one or one bear!!!. they are not reputable and you should be able to buy all at roughly £3.99-£4.99

Advantages: big range, cute, cuddly, good quality, collectable Disadvantages: pricey
Beanie Babies were at their height a year or so ago, everyone wanted them not only because they were cute but because of their collectability & value over a given period of time.
But now I think the bubble may have burst and people have all moved on to the Pokemon fad. However, I still have one remaining Beanie, a little yellow duck called Quackers.
It was given to me by someone very special and still very close to my heart all those months ago. ... ...Quackers came into being during a lazy convesation about paddling ducks.
I still love Quackers with his big orange bill and cute little helpless eyes. He maybe worth a lot of money in a few years time, but I wouldn't swap him for the world because of all the cherrished memories I would lose, especially from that special someone who gave it to me two years ago!!
Beanie Babies are still available and I would recommend you get your hands on them while ...

...thing I like about these toys is that they are affordable at £5.99 each or under from a primary seller, my little girl collects the beanie kids and gets one every 2 weeks with her pocket money.
There are loads of websites which sell these and offer lots of news re the retirements etc most sites also have special offers which is always a bonus. As I said I've been collecting them now for 1 month and will continue to collect just as long as I'm enjoying ...

Advantages: Great Cute Collectible Toy Disadvantages: Rare Ones Can Be Hard To Find
Well my love affair with BEANIE BABIES started in February 1998. I happened to be speaking to and American gentleman from Houston who asked me about BEANIE BABIES.. Beanie what !!! He then said that if I could find him BRITANNIA he would pay me £100 and PRINCESS £60. Well this sounded wonderful if not too good to be true. So I started to look for BRITANNIA and his friends simple I thought any toy shop will be selling stuffed bean bag toys. But oh ... ...BEANIE, PINKY BEANIE & lots of their friends but no bears. I had just had a new computer and my daughter got me hooked up to the internet to surf (I thought you did that in the sea) anyhow after spending hours searching I found Auction sites, EBay, AMAZON, YAHOO etc..Wow..needless to say I eventually found my BRITANNIA, PRINCESS, ERIN, GLORY, LIBEARTY & GARCIA to name but a few. I still have them and most of the others. I agree with what has been ...

Advantages: Great animation and great humour! Disadvantages: None at all
...After months of people telling me to see both the Toy Story films, I finally went out and bought the DVD boxset and what a buy it was!.
I'm not sure how much it's selling for in the UK, but I got both movies for £19.99 (futureent.com) imported on Region 1 DVD. There are two sets you can buy - the one I got which gives you a few extra features, such as out takes. And the second which comes with a 3rd disk filled with extra's, which I believe is £35 altogether.
I'm indifferent as to which is the better film, as I enjoyed both immensely. The animation is superb, and the humour is excellent. If you're one of these people who think cartoons are just for kids, then you'd be very wrong. Think Simpsons & Futurama humour and you'll know that much of their humour isn't really understood by kids.

Advantages: Just one of THE great films Disadvantages: You may hate cowboys
....
The musical score is outstanding with a great musical set by Randy Newman. He belts out, among others, "You've got a friend in me" and "Strange things are happening" which compliment the film superbly.
If for some strange reason you are one of the few that have yet to see this movie then the video and DVD are easy to come by.
The Toy Story DVD can also be purchased through Disney.com and has bonus footage including 1988 Academy Award -winning animated short "Tin Toy" "You've Got a Friend in Me" music video as featured on the hit "Toy Story" soundtrack and Behind-the-scenes making of "Toy Story".
Amazon are selling the DVD on it's own (as opposed to packaged with Toy Story 2 etc) at £18.99.
The double DVD has the following: Academy award-nominated short "Luxo Jr", outtakes and a sneak preview of Monsters.Inc. Technical spec:

Advantages: Fun,modern and great characters Disadvantages: None
...Von Detton
Hannah - Sarah Freeman
Andy's Mum - Laurie Metcalf
Obviously the two most well known actors in this film are Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. I think the producers made a really good choice in picking these two for the main roles as they work so well for the characters they are. Also the other voices work well with the role they have too which overall makes this an excellent film to watch.
Extras:
My DVD does have some extras but, not many. There are three altogether which are -
The making of Toy story
A preview for the next Disney/Pixar Film that was released - 'Monsters Inc'
Tin Toy - Pixar animated feature
By far the best thing is the Pixar feature which is a short cartoon that is quite amusing although you can tell it was made a lot earlier or the beginnings of Pixar's work as the graphics aren't quite as good as...

Robin Williams stars in this surreal anti-war fantasy directed by Barry Levinson (RAIN MAN, DINER). Williams plays Leslie Zevo, the son of a fun-loving toymaker. Leslie and his sister, Alsatia (Joan Cusack,) grew up surrounded by their father's whimsical creations in the fantastic factory that he built. When their father dies, the children find that he has left his beloved business in the hands of his brother, a war-monger General (Michael Gambon), thinking that despite his children's love of the company, they don't have minds for business. Unable to disregard his military sensibilities, the General embarks on his own secret project in an effort to make toys that fulfill his confrontational nature, developing video games for children that actually control live weapons. Discovering their uncle's diabolical plan, Leslie and Alsatia set out to stop the general in his tracks and save their father's dream factory from manufacturing lethal weapons. Levinson's interesting social commentary also features rapper LL Cool J as the general's son, Patrick, a military man who specialises in camouflage; and Robin Wright as Leslie's love interest.
