Congrats to Disney for making something a bit special here. This was the first feature length computer animated movie. It's beauty rested in the fact that the characters were entertaining and the plot, whilst simplistic, was interesting. The movie was quickly followed by a rash of other computer animated movies, all of which were technically brilliant but lacking that oooomph that Woody and Buzz provided! The plot of "Toy Story" concerns a boy's old favourite toy (Woody/Tom Hanks) who becomes jealous of a new toy in the house (Buzz lightyear/Tim Allen). The interaction between the two characters works really well. Buzz thinks he is an intergalactic hero, rather than just a toy which provides many comic moments (and a touching moment when he realises that he is, after all, just a toy). Well worth watching!
