After dragging Mr F to see Toy story and him ageeing what a good film it was I couldn't wait to see the sequel. So on a kids free night (better to check the film out first of course!!) we went to watch Toy Story 2.
Now unless you are a visitor from another planet you cannot fail to recognise Woody the Cowboy, Buzz Lightyear (that's Space Ranger) and the rest of the gang.
In toy Story 2 Andy is off to Cowboy Camp for the holidays and Woody is going with him. Unfortunately Woody's arm is ripped just before Andy goes and Woody is left behind.
While Andy is away, Mum decides to have a yard sale and Woody is stolen by Al (who owns Al's Toy Barn a local shop) whilst trying to rescue Squeaky a toy who Mom has put in the sale. The other toys including Buzz, Rex Ham and Mr Potato Head decide to lauch a rescue mission to get Woody back.
Meantime Woody finds out that he is a famous Cowboy. During the 50's Woody was on a TV show in which he was the star. Al takes him back to his apartment where he has a collection which includes Jessie the Cowgirl, Bullseye the horse and Stinky Pete the Prospector. Al is going to sell the collection to a museum in Japan for a lot of money.
Buzz and the gang trek across town to Al's Toy Barn to rescue Woody and cause all kinds of mayhem getting there. Once they find Woody they find that the cowboy is a bit reluctant to leave as he is worried that Andy will grow up and tire of him.
Woody then decides that his place is with Andy and decides to leave but Stinky Pete has other ideas. He stops Woody from leaving and Al packs them up to take them on a plane to Japan. The toys follow and rescue Woody, Jessie and Bullseye and they all go back to live with Andy.
This film is a brilliant sequel to Toy Story and is even funnier than the first. The best part about this film though has got to be the out takes at the end. One shot is of Buzz who has been put in a Buzz Lightyear toy box back on the shelf in the toy shop. Suddenly you hear a loud farting noise and Buzz starts waving his hand saying 'My I didn't know I'd eaten that!' Absolutely brilliant.
It is a very good film for younger children as well, although 2 years and below could get bored because the film is quite long (running time 88 minutes).
Again Pixar Animation have produced amazing computer graphics and the attention to detail is fantastic.
A thoroughly good all round family film which gives good 'harmless' entertainment for all ages.
Get the video out - you'll enjoy it!!
thanks for reading

I was never a huge fan of Toy Story, but the sequel was certainly entertaining. Cool op.

I adore both the Toy Story films, and the second one wasnt worse than the first which is quite unusual! :o)x
