The BlackpoolTower is one of the main tourist attractions in Blackpool, situated on the promenade. The Tower was built in 1894 and in height it stands at 158m (518ft) tall, The BlackpoolTower can be seen from other places such as Morecambe Bay and in September the Tower is illuminated which is a beautiful sight.
I have visited Blackpool on several occasions and each time I have made a point to go to the Tower, there are a number of activities in the Tower which are suitable for all ages. Over the years BlackpoolTower has changed in many ways and it is as enjoyable now as it was when I first visited Blackpool.

I hadn't been up Blackpooltower since i was 8 so to say this visit with my husband and 2 year old (plus a new one in a pram) was a disappointment is an understatement.
We went with another couple who have a 3 year old boy so we were looking to make it a big day out.
Firstly the shabby entrance is not the most inviting. There is no ramp at the front to allow ease of access for prams or wheelchairs. You have to enter the back way for this.
Secondly the prices. It shopuld have been £33 for a family of 3 so i questioned our little lads age to see if he could get in for free. I was told he had to stand against a board with a picture of the tower on it. The basics were if he was taller than the tower - he had to pay.
