This volume really is worth it alone for Countrycide. It's the first episode on this mid-season collection, and it really is fantastic. Literally edge of your seat, violent and surreal viewing as the Torchwood team are stranded in the countryside - with evil people about. The performances are top notch in this episode, with everybody contributing fantastically and the emotion is shockingly solid. The script writing is also astonishing, and there are some exciting twists and turns. The rest of the volume, however, is let down by what seems to be a mid season blip - it's surprisingly weak compared to the rest of the series. Random Shoes isn't proper Torchwood and some of the performances are shaky, while "Greeks Bearing Gifts" - while holding some important themes of loss and lesbianism - is a letdown. However, "They Keep Killing Suzie" pulls the side up again, but since most of the episode takes place in a car, it may not attract to the people who prefer non stop action. The special features are also informative, lending helpful insights into the episodes villains and the script writing. Although they aren't on par with the boxet, it definitely is a nice accompanient to some of the weaker episodes on this DVD. Luckily however, most of the special features are hinted towards Countrycide! A good volume, let down by a couple of stories, but the amazing Countrycide makes it one of the most buyable DVDs around.
Advantages: Episode 6 is brilliant - real edge of the seat stuff Disadvantages: The other episodes don't live up to Countrycide

...volume, Random Shoes, is a Torchwood light episode, which does bring the volume down a shade, as the episode is quite weak, but still enjoyable.
The featurettes are interesting to watch, as are the deleted scenes.
I suggest you buy this volume, mainly because of Countrycide, but all the episodes are definitely worth watching over and over again. ...
