From the first time i watched top gun i loved the film. The directing is excellent as often you can actually feel as if you are in the planres that they are flying. I really liked the performance from Cruise in which he portrays Maverick the cocky, arrogant, incredible pilot and he puts in an incredible performance. Opposite him is the ace Ice which Val Klmer acts with approp[rioate cool. Goose is an another great character to have in the film. The mystery which surround Mavericks dad is never really answerted,
