Tom Cruise is Lt. Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell, who, along with his flying partner Goose (Anthony Edwards) is selected as one of the US.Navy's top 1% of pilots to be sent to Top Gun - a nacy fighter pilot traing academy for the best of the best. There they are introduced to their tutor, Charlie, played by Kelly McGillis, who naturally falls in love with Maverick. A fantastic supporting cast, including Rick Rossovich, Meg Ryan, Val Kilmer and Tom Skerrit, and superb aerial photography, coupled with great scripting as well as humor, tragedy and romance ensure that this film has something for everyone. It's a real feel-good film, and a must for any video collection.
