I'm a married father of 4 children who likes days out has experience of family products and destinations. I find sites like this useful before purchasing/embarking on a trip somewhere, so hopefully my experiences of places will assist people too

Top Gear - the challenges - does exactly what it says on the tin. This cuts out all the reviews of cars, stars in reasonably priced cars and other features common to individual episodes of Top Gear and focuses purely on the challenges the team go through which are usually split by the regular features.
The disk is around 164 nail biting, amusing action packed minutes of some of the best challenges the team have faced.
These include: A Robin Reliant space shuttle, building amphibious cars and racing them on the water, building a Limo, building a convertable, crap 70s supercars and racing one of the worlds fasted road cars from Italy to London against Captain Slow (James May) in a Cessna 182.
The disc isn't one large leap challenge to challenge, they are inter-mingled with each other which is initially a bit annoying to be into something and suddenly move on to the beginning of the next challenge.
What may have been useful would have been some form of narration challenge to challenge - instead the challenges are just ripped from regular episodes of Top Gear that the challenges feature in, which leads on 2 occasions to a slight flaw in continuity.
But take nothing away from the content - once again the on screen chemistry regular Top Gear viewers are used to is present and at its cutting edge best, you will laugh... and be in awe at some of the mishaps and comedy this team produces.
Let's hope they bring out a second edition. Preferably with EXTRAS, out-takes or even a featurette on the making of one or other of the challenges, because often in the real show we have a "after the cameras stopped rolling..... this happened" and the same sort of thing would be perfect for this product.
