This is a type of American Pie/Roadtrip stupid humour type film. Great for watching with a group of friends.
The story starts at a wedding and a group of friends (blokes) agree to put money into an account every month and the last person left single gets the lot. A few years later one of them looses loads of money gambling and the only way he can pay it off is to win the money. He then sets up a girl with his remaining single friend, who happens to be a bit of a tw**. Obviously he falls in love with her etc. etc.
The story is told very well and is funny all the way through. One of the funniest parts is when the tw** bloke has one of his testicles removed in an operation and decides that he wants to take it home. The bloke who is setting him up goes all over the hospital and looses the testicle. It gets kicked around and eventually ends up in the canteen……
The acting is pretty good overall, can’t say that I recognised anyone apart from one woman who was in Scary Movie, the one who got killed in the locker room if anyone is interested.
The soundtrack impressed me right from the start with an Offspring song before the film even started. I think it’s very important to start with a good song!! Makes a good first impression. The film started good overall because it also had a very funny scene right at the beginning involving viagra and the wedding.
If you are planning a night in with a group of friends this is definitely a film to watch. There are no slow parts at all and it’s always funnier when you have a few more people there!
