The DVD

There are two versions of this film on the double sided disc. One is the full screen version (4.3 ratio) and the other is the widescreen version (which I prefer) This is a nice change from having to change the picture through your DVD player and squashing it or putting up with large black borders on normal screen televisions.
There is a fairly short feature on the making of the movie, which doesn't really tell you too much but gives you an insight into the characters from the actors that portray them.
Added to this are the usual trailers and filmographies (that I find quite useful when I recognise an actor in another movie) and also two music videos, one of Sheryl Crow murdering Sweet Child O' Mine and the other of Garbage, which is a lot better.
As a package, this DVD offers nothing new ...

Big Daddy. Yet another Adam Sandler film, or well worth a watch?

Adam Sandler was born in 1966, making him much older than I'd realised, I'd say he tends to look mid-thirties in his newer films.
Sandler is a well-known comic actor, with more than 30 films behind him. His first film, as far as I can find out, was Going Overboard back in 1989, meaning that his career has now spanned three decades, which I think is an achievement regardless of your feelings about him.
I say regardless of your feelings as I know from experience that he's a real Marmite man, some love him, others hate him. He's criticised for playing the same part time after time, but if it works then why not? His films are still huge draws for the public.

Advantages: Hilarious Disadvantages: Cannot think of any
This is one of the really hilarious, famous, typical Adam Sandler films.
If you have not seen this film as yet and want a good laugh, I highly suggest you rent / buy this film. I loved it so much that I bought this film on DVD and have watched it several times since then.
The film is about Adam Sandler (Sonny Koufax), whom looks after a child and takes the child in his care, after it showing up unexpectedly on his doorstep. The child claims to be the son of Adam Sandler's friend, whom is currently on holiday at the time. Adam Sandler starts to get really attached to the child and learns the basics of fatherhood. He also starts learning things about himself and does things that he most probably would have never done if the child was not around.
The rest of the film is up to you to watch and enjoy!
